I'm ready for an Alpine show! My first time ever seeing pj was at Alpine 2003. Funny story, I got 4 tix to that show: one for my friend and for each of my parents. My mom heard about how the band was doing some mock beheadings of Bush at other shows and refused to go! My dad was so pissed and we ended up bringing some random fan from the area instead of my mom. Does anyone remember that kooky silver jacket Ed put on? I remember the crowd went nuts and he goes, "It's just a jacket" or something. Either way, I would love a repeat summer show and my aunt's got a house two miles away from Alpine with enough room for at least ten tents in the backyard...party and free camping and Pearl Jam=best summer ever.

Well maybe I'll end up making some drunk calls like we did in Paris and I'll call yea. hehe If not Munich, were going to the next Alpine show.

You were calling people in Madison. hahaha Yea Brian still talks about that, hilarious. Oh yea and as much as I want PJ back at Alpine. Not on a day like today. It's 12 degrees right now. And tonight it's gonna drop way down. Burrrr
this is a perfect chance for the band to play a fun show at good 'ol east troy wisc. Perfect spot for a summer show in the midwest that would definitely sell out. Can't wait till they announce it.
"Tonight we're just gonna play you some good old American Rock and Roll." tom petty-7-15-05
he might hump your leg too, but it's all good natured. gizmo's a good dog...
Since getting him fixed he doesn't do that anymore. haha He sure liked you Tim when he was younger. He's a great dog, just wish I didn't have to walk him to get him to go outside all the time. Huge back yard and he has to go for a walk. lol
I could go for some Smile during a beautiful Alpine Valley sunset...
PLAY ALPINE IN 2007!!
Yea we need another Alpine version of Smile. Summerfest second show last June was great. I love when Ed explains the story around smile. It has roots in Milwaukee. Ice Bowl version is special of course.
PLEASE! Alpine Valley is the best outdoor venue in the midwest and probably top 3 in the US behind Red Rocks and The Gorge. The best concert I ever saw was Pearl Jam in 2003 at Alpine Valley. After going to see Pearl Jam at Summerfest last year, it was way less intimate than Alpine Valley was, and I sat in the last row at Alpine and 11th row center at Summerfest. The place is special, and for them to tour without returning to Alpine would be a shame.
The lack of shows at the venue over the past few years is a concern for me because I'm wondering how long they'll keep the place up if these new bands aren't big enough to play there.

It's also a concern I've had for a while but have put that in the back of my mind. With each yr since the amazing 2003 show. I'm still holding on and hoping PJ comes back. I know it sounds so greedy since we had 2 shows last yr at Summerfest. But it just wasn't the same feeling of a Alpine show. Please play Alpine
Yeah Patrick, feeling is exactly what's missing from the Marcus. Alpine Valley is the kind of place that brings people closer together. I get nostalgic when I hear the 03 Alpine cd. Damn that was a good time. The day was perfect, sunny and hot. The afternoon yellow/orange glow as we walked in after missing the opening act to play football in the parking lot. Out of all the times I've seen them, there's never been a more energetic crowd. People singing their hearts out and hugging each other like some kind of european soccer celebration. And when the lights went down all you hear is the pounding echoes of people beating the seats. I still can't believe how many people knew the lyrics to Glorified G. One for the ages. My ears rang for two days.

That is the only bootleg that gives me goose bumps everytime I play it. The beautiful sunset was awesome and the crowd the best I've ever been apart of. I sure hope we get to go back and do it all over again.
I just listened to the bootleg of Alpine 2003 all the way through for the first time in a few years... AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love so many songs from that show... "I believe in miracles" is great, "Glorified G" was fun to sing along with, and "Baba" at the end was perfect! I would go ape shit for another round this year at Alpine. Summerfest was a drunk high school reunion where people cared more about the price of beer then what Pearl jam's set would be... ALPINE 2007!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PatrickRedeyes keep it going!
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

You will have to deal with a crazy black and white shitzu/terrier dog. He's crazy cause he loves meeting new people. haha
