i've heard lots of good things about The Prime Rib, 1701 Locust Street. nice location near rittenhouse square.
    hehehehehe....

After looking at all the websites for Philly steakhouses.....

The Prime Rib is the one that caught my eye......

Looks like that may be the place.....

i'd offer to join you but the last thing i want in my belly before a show is a porterhouse the size of a catcher's mit. with the dirth of bathrooms at the spectrum, i'm pretty damn sure i'd end up shitting my pants waiting for a stall.

I was looking at the 2lb. stuffed lobster myself....hehehe

Whats a good place for seafood????
    Take me piece by piece.....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

you're going to kill all the people within a thirty foot radius if you down the 2lb stuffed lobster and perhaps even inspire a philly puker.

i wish i could give you better firsthand info but kids have curbed the culinary exploration esp. down in the city. but if you're looking for a festive, often crowded, reasonably priced place ridiculously close to the spectrum you'd be hard pressed to beat Chickies and Petes Crab House. its within easy walking/staggering distance to the venue.

Go to Snockey's(sic) on 2nd & Washington for seafood. Good deals, and excellent fresh seafood.
  • Looking for a good sushi place, anyone know of a good one?
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

Mizu is real good, and so is Fuji Mountain. There's actually a bunch that are pretty good. My personal fave is this little spot called the Vic Sushi Bar.

Good hotel? Good area? Good eats?
South Philly a good place to walk around??? ;)

    Cant wait.

South Philly is good times.......There is South Street, ton of bars although it has gotten a lil trashy over the years. Another area is olde city which is a little more upscale, hot chicks though. Then there is the oldest bar in Philadelphia (McGillan's)

Eats----China Town on the corner of 9th and Vine (Sang Kee) Inexpensive but authentic Chinese restraunt none of that shitty takeout you see on the corners in the city. Recommend getting the Duck Roll, Steamed Pork Dumplings with Oyster sauce, and an order of Roast Pork and Noodle with wonton and vegtable Soup. This place will blow your mind. The soup can feed two almost three people and only costs about $6 or $7. If you get all that stuff for you and another person you'll spend about $20.

Another place for bangin sandwhiches is around the corner from the Italian Market (Shank and Evelyns) 10th and catherine. the Italian Market where Rocky ran is a block away. They have the best Chicken Cutlets get a sammy wit Spinach and Sharp Provlone. I shit you not the other people claiming Tony Lukes is great, Tonay can't hold Shanks Jock. They also have a great sausage pepper and onion.

If you want an old fashioned cheese steak go to St. Joe's University and get a Larrys "Home of the Belly Filler" or in Roxborugh "Dellassandros" Get a steak with american fried onions and mushrooms.

Great Italian Restraunt. around the corner from Shank and Evelyns called "Ralphs" a little higher priced. The best Italian food in america and the oldest family ownd restraunt in America. 4 Generations. Their mussels in red sauce and their Veal Marsala is to die for. One Thing though (CASH ONLY) Probably b/c the South Philly mob runs the joint but hey no complaints here.

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.

Yeah, it's a an alright place to hang out once in a while. A little too overpriced, but a cool scene. Lebowski Fest is going to be there in a couple weeks.
