Good hotel? Good area? Good eats?
South Philly a good place to walk around??? ;)

    Cant wait.

Do yourself a favor and go to Lorenzo's on South St. for pizza. It'll blow your fucking mind. Actually it's right across the street from Pontiac Grille (used to be JC Dobbs, which Ed talks about how PJ played back in the early 90's pretty much every time they come to town now).

As for cheesesteaks, if you want to do the touristy thing, go to Pat's and Geno's. Jim's on South or Tony Luke's in South Philly are 2 of the better spots for a good cheesesteak.

Location... If you can afford Rittenhouse, stay there. The Art Museum is right there, plenty of bars and a park and some other stuff. Plenty to do there.

FYI Dobbs is Dobbs again and Lorenzo's does make a great pizza

5/23/2011- An utter embarrassment... ticketing failures too many to list.

Dobbs is Dobbs again....but it's closed. Wasn't making any money without a liquor license. Sucks.

Its similar to a stromboli, but you can get them fried or baked. The baked ones are basically a stromboli, but the fried ones are the ones Im referring to.

Alright, so from the sound of it, it seems like they take an "inside-out pizza", which is a stromboli, and dip it in a fryer.

It's too bad Phillies World Series tickets will be so hard to come by for you out-of-towners; Citizens Bank Park sells The Schmitter, Campos hoagies, Tony Luke's steaks, the crab fries, etc.

One of the best-kept secrets there. Many who bitch about the $7 Bud Light bottles (understandably) don't know you can visit those "Brewerytown" stands and get great stuff like DogFish Head and Hop Devil for less money.

If anyone needs a rundown of my super sweet city just PM me and I'll give you good stops and the such.

LMAO when I read your location. I live in central NJ, but I'm originally from outside Reading. My brother still lives there. Ring boloney + ketchup = his favorite food groups.
