I adore Jack, but his setlists are still too short.
I am looking forward to seeing him on this leg, but am trying to mentally prepare for it to go by way too fast. Hope to be blown away because 17 songs  and under an hour and a half feels hard to swallow.

I also haven’t seen him since the White Stripes in 2005 though and if I remember right, they only played about 1.5 hrs then also. He ripped hard with barely a breath between songs though and covered a lot of material.
if Ed would shut up PJ shows would be 1.5 hours. LOL

I think an hour and a half is a sweet spot. Ever been to a punk show? 45 songs, 90 minutes or less. haha. and you feel DRAINED. I would imagine JW's shows are high energy, and anything more would be exhausting.

We did get a lot packed into that 1.5 hours last night. I didn't feel like I didn't get my moneys worth.

He played 19 songs in Tulsa in November and then 27 (20 song main set) in Dallas the next night, so maybe we never know what we'd get night to night.

I don’t think I would ever vote for less music at a concert.

I know what you're saying.  But sometimes...SOMETIMES...if it's been high energy the entire show, and the artist is spent, and they've felt it from the crowd, going out on a high note is the best way to go out.

I've been to a couple of the PJ shows that were over 3 hours long, and I thought that was too long because a bunch of people left before they were over, and others were just dead because they were so tired. Concerts can definitely be too long IMO. I'm okay with a great show that is 1.5 hours. Two hours is perfect. Anything over 2.5 hours is getting too long.

I hope this sounds better than that EP he released recently. That was unlistenable.

It depends.  If go to Springsteen or PJ, I feel like it takes 3 hours to satiate my appetite.  I feel like they have so many songs and energy that 3 hours goes by in no time.

On the flip side I saw Our Lady Peace a few weeks back and I think they played 100 minutes.  It slowed down in the middle when they aren't playing their hits.

I suppose for me it depends on the band.  If you're going to play 3 hours+ you need to have the catalog that the people in attendance know.  If you barely have a handful of good songs, 90 minutes make sense.
