I've been thinking about subscribing to Third man... some of these last few comments are giving me pause though...

    Would you guys recommend subscribing?
I just do it when I want that particular album, and then cancel immensely afterward so I’m not stuck with something I don’t want. I’ve been pretty happy with the service.

Yeah, I’ve skipped maybe a dozen vaults over the years, but anything Jack a white related I got and have been anywhere from generally happy to extremely happy. It’s a great service and other than the audio quality of the last one, it’s a very good service.

You get a quarterly package w/ their choice of exclusives, and then access to the vault releases?

I guess I'm trying to find a way to get a jump on the vault releases more than anything else... I don't need more stuff, that's for sure.

Buy the service, sell the "stuff", keep the records.

Sort of. Every quarter they announce what will be released (we should find out Q3 in the next week or 2). It’s usually at least a double record and a 7” or dvd. Sometimes it’s just records, sometimes it’s another piece of ephemera like a shirt or a flag or a screen print.

Being a member gets you access to a vault store of exclusives. There isn’t much there right now. Also, when tickets for Jack shows go on sale, there is a early sale. Sometimes it comes with perks like early show access, to get rail.

    Thanks for the info, guys.

I think I'm going to roll the dice & try a year... I won't mind getting some vinyl I wouldn't normally get otherwise. I also like the idea of the presale tickets.

Do it on a quarterly basis. Sign up close to the cutoff and you can see the next package before you re-up. Cant remember the last package I snagged but I’ve been been pretty satisfied with most Ive acquired.

Arrived today but not even opened yet. Been a subscriber since day one. Probably skipped about 10 or so. Usually a relief when its something I dont want because it is expensive. A lot of the extras unless in a box  I have sold. t shirts, bandanas etc I have no interest in, also been a couple of LPs Ive sold because I just wanted the 7 inch. Dont think Ive ever lost money with the vault when reselling. Ive kept every White Stripes and Jack White related LP & 7. The ones where it is an album you can pick up a regular version for $20 arent the best. After the first couple of Vaults the packing boxes got a whole lot better. Massive custom boxes, really protective but have to say they have really gone backwards recently although probably better than most plus they have good customer service and will replace bits if anything is damaged. Only bought a couple of things through the Vault store, spare Pearl Jam LP etc. Overall Id really recommend.

Vault #48 arrived today. Great package. I have every vault except for the Mono Icky Thump in Vault 1. One day I will suck it up and pay big for it to complete the collection.

I know they have 3 albums left to do XX sets for, but I kinda think the Stripes archives has been mined thoroughly (other than live shows).

When are we going to hear what Vault 49 will be? Glad my renewal doesn’t hit until 30th.

My Vault 48 arrived yesterday.  I'm scared to open and play it, for fear that it sounds horrible.  (just like Vault 47)

I'll trade my unopened TMR Vault 48 for any Peal Jam Vault 10!!!  I can even offer some cash on top!

Did you miss the preorder for Moline?

No. I have a copy, it arrived fine.  The shipping box was in perfect shape.  The record with side E/F has visual and audible scratch through the first song on both sides.

10C doesn't do anything for pressing defects?

I have unopened vaults from DC, LA and now Moline.... now I'm worried.

I would be shocked if they had any old vaults laying around to replace defective vinyl for previous vaults.

Yeah they take those and sell them at Easy Street for massive mark ups. But it would be crappy for them not to have extra for defects in Moline.

TMR finished shipping new vault on 7/8, meanwhile, USPS still haven't received mine. Anybody else has that problem? I'm at the end of the alphabet.

I had to send them an email to remind them to take mine to the post office because sometimes they are slow or forget me. I too am at the end of the alphabet so I'd just shoot them an email.

Here is the email I received from the Ten Club:

    Shipping (Ten Club)

    Jul 2, 2021, 5:22 PM PDT

    Hello,
We’re very sorry for the inconvenience.
Under normal circumstances we have replacement copies for a title like this for instances of lost or damaged product. Due to unforeseen circumstances, in this case we do not have any additional copies.

If you’d like, you can either keep your copy, or return your purchase for a full refund.
If this is an order delivered inside the US, we will be happy send a return label at no expense to you.
If this order was delivered outside the US, our shipping software is not capable of creating a return label, so we would ask that you pay return shipping and send us a picture of the return shipping invoice. We would then issue a store credit in that amount.

We understand this is not ideal, but unfortunately this is the best we can do in the case of this release.
    Please accept our sincere apology.

    Thanks
    10c
