    i feel like this album is on par with all of their albums, no drop off. i think flea shines or is more out front on these songs/album.  I get strong BSSM/By the Way vibes from this whole album. the last half of the album seems to let frusicante shine with his guitar and harmonies.  there are several songs with hints of horns (AMD, Let em Cry) that really take it up a notch for me.  the album is very funky, groovy led by flea's bass. Chad's drums seem a bit lost to me.  Overall, a modern Chilis sound with ssome fresh tidbits that keep it pretty interesting

    standouts for me:
    Aquatic mouth dance
    Let em Cry 
    The Heavy Wing (could double as a frusciante solo album song to me)
    Black Summer
    Its Only Natural
    Veronica

    8.5/10
    yeah, I feel like John's guitar playing really leaves room and opens up for the groove. Flea must just love that.

    Heavy Wing feels like pure Californication-era, it's awesome. I love the Sabbath Hand of Doom drum pattern at the beginning.

    in regards to the vinyl, id imagine it ships Friday? i ordered from amazon and it says it should ship "Friday, April 8, 2022 - Monday, April 11, 2022" so maybe its later than official release date

    I kept waiting as they kept releasing variants. I settled on the emerald colored ones I think March 19th.  They did several LE of 2000 in various colors I think. I saw a few pop up for sure in the past few months 

    i assume you are talking about that first one in purple and gold.  That one I definitely missed

    I think I got the purple and gold from their site. There was 3 different versions on their site when I bought I believe: 1. Double black in single sleeve 2. Double black in gatefold 3. Purple and gold in single sleeve.

    I got the third, no word on shipping yet.
