^ Josh or Fru would have nailed Omar's part. That would have been amazing to see a Fru/Josh/Flea throw down to that song back then.
Omar would come out and play percussion on "Charlie", so they could've worked something out, for sure. Finding a lot of bootlegs from shows from that Tour a couple of years ago was like waking up on Christmas morning when I was a kid.

^ I bet, I'd love to hear those. That was Frusciante at his best and the band at their peak...to me anyways.

I had a Dropbox set up with a lot of them, but for some reason, it would omit songs. rhcplivearchive.com has a bunch there and they officially released the 9/16/2006 show from Calgary. ace-bootleg.com and theroadtrippin.blogspot.com are 2 more sites that have some great shows. I agree w/you about the SA Tour being the absolute peak of their live show. They're still great now, but John's playing was outstanding during 06-07. Lots of improvised jams and cool set lists. I hope they release more of these shows in the future!

Nice. I will definitely check out those websites. Funny you should mention the ' 06 Calgary show. I listened to that one at work on Friday per SmallestOcean's suggestion. Man... what an epic show. They were spot on in every way. The best of the best. Fru's vocals on Can't Stop and Charlie...damn. His solo on Dani C, as well as the complete ensemble on Wet Sand...just mind blowing. It was also great to hear a live version of Fortune Faded. What a badass song.

If they can't make out/understand Chili Pepper lyrics, they definitely won't understand PJ lyrics!! ...but it would be great to watch!!

Loved how we randomly got I Like Dirt at the Raleigh show back in April. Always fun seeing these guys. I've seen them with John and Josh and will continue to catch them when they are in town.
