Does it say anywhere on it who designed/printed it? Is it a screenprint?

To each his own, I like it. It isn't the best poster ever, and I agree I would like to see the rejected Klausen ideas. I find it odd that no where on it does it have Liam Finn's name.

On the baseball jersey - is it a green color or more the Miami Dolphins teal type of color?

Inquiring minds want to know ;)

I think the poster is OK... I wish the font was different - doesnt seem to me to fit the overall feel of the poster. I really, really want to see the BK design though!

So is that three ballads so far? I'm actually kindve happy about this. I'm not a big fan of the short punk rock type tunes but would love some "classic rock" sounding songs a la In Hiding or Given to Fly. I think "speed of sound" is under 2 mins so its not a long song, unless the album version is longer.

come on Maui fans- lets hear some reviews and get a setlist
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
  • Wow, Maui, Ed, and my Pearl Jamily. Life could not have hit a more sweet spot last night. Thank you to all of you that refrained from heckling! As Ed peevely said it "Don't bark orders at him." Once we got through the few shout out requests and Ed telling them that he'd spit in their food, the show was truly flawless. The Backspacer song was insane and Ed didn't miss a note. Liam came out, jammed on 3 songs, and created perfect harmony with Ed. The venue was tiny but beautiful and modern. Acoustics were absolutely perfect! I'd love to recount more detail of the evening, but Beck's and POG were flowin through my veins from an amazing pre-party put on by my great friends living in Maui! Rock Band was the event of choice with all 10 songs being rocked out by our peeps! Surreal evening. JUMP!!!

Jersey is a green teal ala Miami Dolphins. Actually reminds me of the old Hawaii Islanders minor league team a little.

Poster artist unknown to me, haven't seen a signature, but there is the Volcom emblem on the lower right.

Font for lettering is very Hawaiian style. Hawaii adpoted this style of writing when the Hawaiian royalty went to visit to royal courts of Britain and Europe during the Victorian era. They called it Palapala. Its the font that is used on most Hawaiian jewelry.
    9/25/92, 9/26/92, 9/27/92, 2/20/97, 2/21/97, 7/7/06, 7/9/06, 7/10/06, 12/2/06, 12/9/06

well that makes sense - and shows my complete ignorance of Hawaii!

Cool stuff though and the poster being Volcom makes sense.

Glad to hear about the NEW Backspacer song and the new cover songs - hoping he builds in Honolulu with more new stuff. I'll be leaving in the morning - I saved frequent flyer miles for like 2.5 years and splurged them all for this one!

It seemed longer than 2 minutes to me. I thought it went for about 4. Very nice sounding song.

Couldn't agree more...but its not quite 10Am here so maybe everyone is still asleep! In the meantime, did they have the blue poster there as well or just the Hawaii version? Have to say I like that one better...man. Pumped for Thursday!

just a big "thank you" to all who posted the various thoughts about the show, the pics of the poster, the 3/4 shirt, etc. Even though I couldn't make the trip to HI this time, its fun to read about the show. Thank you!

HUGE thank you to Tenclub for continuing to provide sweet tickets - 4th row Orchestra on Maui last night and over the years for countless shows. Exceedingly well managed, seemless and super on top of it.

GREAT show last night - it was obvious that there was a tremenduous amount of love in the room. May there be many more such nights.

So, mahalo to EV and crew. Aloha from Maui!
