If I'm not mistaken is the above signed pick not a fake? All the others I've seen are signed with a Sharpie...this looks like a marker...seems like someone got a blank and faked it

    If eddie doesn't say:

"I signed a buch of picks"

i'm not going to believe that the picks have real signatures (or initials ;) )

    Why not (V) (°,,,,°) (V) ?
  • I looked at that and thought the same thing! All other listed picks at least look similar, but this one looks nothing like the rest. Too bold of ink and there is a period. Looks fishy doesn't it? I'm pretty sure that the seller has been criticized on this message board several times, but I shouldn't state sellers user ID in case I'm wrong. Someone will probably point it out quickly though if its him.

That does look similar to the one I saw a guy get at the merch table. But at this point would never assume anything is legit on eBay. Can't tell if its sharpie or some other marker.

Ninersfan is a total dirtbag. That was established long ago. However, he does state in this listing:
It also includes what appears to be a signed EV Tortex Dunlop guitar pick.

At least he's not claiming it to be guaranteed.

And I think that there were several picks that had periods. I saw people posting photos the other day with them.

Not trying to defend ninersfan. Just playing devil's advocate.

Understood. I knew this person isn't liked here a whole lot. I read here much more than I post!

I'm guilty of buying a fake Eddie signature less than a week ago and it only cost a penny.

My first thought is that is not real. Looks different from the others. However it is difficult to get a good read on it without holding it in my hands.

Looks a little shaky in the lettering.

ThAT PICK IS FAKE FAKE FAKE SO FAKE
  • They can keep all their line-up-and-sign-buy-it-from-the-merch-stand picks so I can get a cheap buck on eGay....

I'm more than happy with my unsigned EV signature (figure that one out) wave pick, scratched up both sides and jet black - picked off the floor of Rod Laver Arena Nov 14, 2006.

There is no price you can bid @ eGay that can match the value....

I actually believe it was real

I think ninersfan gets a lot of this merch, whether by attending the shows, or having contacts, and he's virtually always the first to ebay rightly or wrongly.

I havent bought from him, but from the stuff he has for sale I always presumed he had a good contact in the scene

I got 2 wallets last night (one for me and one for my brother-in-law). Both had the Turtle pic with EV on the back that appeared to be a sharpie. I did notice the wallets were in little bags and the tape holding them open had be cut and reapplied like they were opened at some point. I do not know if each wallet has a "signed" pic but I think I got 2.

So if someone wants one I'd just ask somebody going to the show to pick you up a wallet.

Its probably a big ask but if anyone is going to anymore shows and they would grab me one with the EV signed pick I would be extremely grateful.

I have one that a kind person got me from the philly shows (with the Evil Knivel pick) but being the pick freak I'm being tempted now by the initialled pick too :D

See I was wondering if some had the Evil Knivel pics. I saw those in the earlier merch pictures now its a turtle and EV in sharpie on the back?

Yep people have assumed he ran out of the picks and replaced them with the initialled ones.....

I bet that's what happened. Or maybe the first 100 or so wallets have the signed pics. I was one of the 1st people at the merch table and not everyone buys a wallet.

No its clear the dude has more than one with the way he photographs the pick on both sides in the same picture. This guy always buys shit loads to flip. this doesnt make it a fake

So I bought some wallets last night and the signature looks the same on mine. Can't confirm if he actually signed them, but that is what they are selling. But my handwriting verification skills could use improvement.

    Maybe I will ask him..

it looks like he is including the pick that comes with the wallet, and is showing the back by laying another pick on there... not defending the guy, but the listing does clearly state "It also includes what appears to be a signed EV Tortex Dunlop guitar pick."

i'm sure the winning bidder is elated to have a $70 EV wallet?

So, does anyone know if all the wallet pics were signed, or was it only a few per show?
