GREAT SHOW! I was -- unfortunately -- next to the guy who yelled for "Won't Back Down," and whom Eddie had to subtly reprimand twice for yelling uncontrollably (like when the guy asked Ed what he was drinking, and Eddie replied, "Not as much as you"). That was NOT the fun part of the show. My section seemed to be on time out, because Eddie actually pointed at our section when he made the Chrissie Hynde/"she doesn't suffer fools gladly" comment. But, the setlist was unexpected and a wonderful surprise in many places. And he was really on tonight. "Arc" was just breathtaking, as always.

are u talking about his guy ..

Thanks! Yeah I felt like I went on and on a little but you're right there are so many little things to remember.

I was sitting pretty close to you and the interpreter. She was really interesting to watch and I'm glad Ed gave her a pick. That was a cool moment.

Not to make your tour depression worse (I'm going through it now!) and I don't know if anyone told you but Ed mentioned you guys the second night. He said he had hoped you and her were there because he was anxious to see what the next song looked like and went right into Lukin. :D

*apologies to people who are sick of seeing me posting so much in here*

Yeah, I saw that... and hubby told me too since he was there the 2nd night. Before you gasp, I talked him into going since we had to postpone our trip home due to the humid and heat (our car has no AC) and there was severe weather in our path heading home outside Tennessee.

We couldn't afford another show as much as we'd love to and that was not our original plan. Even if I got another ticket for free, I wanted the interpreter there again. That has to be planned ahead of time.

So I focused on getting him in and he managed to get in for 40 dollars from a scalper. ;)

I don't feel bad at all... I'm just glad that we didn't end up going to Percy Priest Lake to hang out, swim and sleep outside before going home... because I read that EV was there! I'd have died of embarrassment if he saw me in bathsuit! NOBODY but hubby is allowed to see me that way! :P So I sweet-talked with the hotel manager into giving me the same discount deal for another day at hotel instead of the regular rate.

Anyway... Lukin. Yeah... that's so funny! It is SO HILARIOUS!!! I warned Natalie that if she did that song, I would be the only one in the audience bursting out in laughter with tears! She was like  oh god, I need more practice on that song - it is really difficult and she needed more time.

One terp in Cincinnati did really good on that one - yeah the one that SPEEDY loves to bash () - I burst out in laughter and tears. I still see that song in my head and laugh! ;)

So... since EV didn't play my favorite song till the 2nd night... I guess we are even. ;) :P

Next solo tour... if he plays my favorite song, then... maybe... just maybe I'd let him have my interpreter up on the stage so he can see for himself!

Now I will shut up. Sorry everyone!

*winces* I know….you all want to kill me! Don’t blame you…but I wanted to make another comment! I tried to resist….but I can’t!

You are free to ignore me. I’m used to it, so no hard feelings! ;)

I wanted to say that EV is off the hook for not playing my favorite song on this night and I’m no longer bummed out about it!

“Coffee cup up and back” :D

I came home this late morning relieved knowing we had another month of staying in this house after finding some available donation from one church, including our electricity and gas bills! I do not like to take donations, but I made them promise to email me for anything I can help to return the favor – from cleaning their bathrooms or software related on their computers since I have bachelor’s degree in CIS (Father’s eyes widened when I offered this and said he’d take up on my offer when the day comes!).

I really want to let people know here….that things are really bad here and are expected to get worse, so donations are VERY important to any charity. I’ve gone to Salvation Army, agencies such as Department of Human Services, and a lot of churches.

A lot of churches and programs are strapped for cash and are in desperate need of donations to help people who really need it, but they are forced to change policies in an effort to help as many people as they can. For instance, Salvation Army can only help ONE time a year. A lot of churches are out of funds as well as many programs. Some have made stricter policies which makes it difficult for some people to get assistance. Churches, including the one I just went to, say only one time assistance.

So those of you who live in Michigan and do have some money to donate – please do!! We have exhausted all assets we owned except the house – stocks, bonds, retirement funds including my IRA…all gone. My point is, even people who have gone to the bottom like us are having a hard time finding assistance to get by.

I was lucky to be assigned to a deaf social worker (the only one in the entire state) and he explained that at the meeting with Governor Granholm he attended along with other state workers, that she admitted that things are really very bad, will get worse, and will not get better for at least SEVEN years.

“I’ve been working in this field for 20 years and I’ve NEVER seen anything like this,” pointing at his piled folders of cases on his desk that he had spent working overtime the last two days and it got down to about 12. There are many more coming his way.

He explained that they were going to move to a bigger building in Dearborn so that way when it gets cold, people especially with children won’t freeze outside waiting in the line. “Governor said she fears that it’d become the welfare state.”

He let out a long sigh and said, “I’m telling you as a friend….please get the fuck out of Michigan! Your house is not worth the money you paid for it...and there are no jobs here. So what are you waiting for? Get out! Walk away from the house!”

I smiled at him and thanked him for his concerns. I explained that it’s not the value of my house I’m really concerned about, even though it’s falling apart. It is unique house in a quiet and safe area -- we are emotionally attached to it, and I admitted that was the problem. Bobby and I were very proud of ourselves for providing a stable home for our children that neither one of us had growing up – we moved around so many times and in worst places. I lost count after 25. This is the longest residency we both have lived our entire life – almost nine years.

I’m afraid of fucking that up for the children and I’m afraid I am going to get so bitter of someone else buying this beautiful and unique house at a very cheap price and fix it up really nicely. That is something I need to work on - letting go and move on.

So, I walked in the garage with all smiles and found Bobby sitting with his guitar. I’m very bad at identifying what guitar it is and always forgot what it’s called even after 100 times – but it’s a yellow electric guitar and it is the same one used by Johnny Ramones.

“That’s great news, honey! Guess what?! I finally figured out the intro to ‘I am Mine’!” He said it had been bugging him so much that the song wasn’t played and he felt so guilty that he got to hear it the next night so he had been spending a lot of time since then trying to figure out the intro before going into the entire thing.

He played it over and over for me…and I was in heaven! :D

So there you go…it’s all taken care of.

However, for EV’s opportunity to see Lukin is not all lost. It probably could be seen at Austin City Limits…the same interpreters from Lolla 06 will be there. Although I do not respect them and especially for what they did to me, I do have to say they are very good.

I also want to mention that this show also healed me from the hell I went through at Lolla and I feel so relieved to the point I don’t care about them anymore.

Ironic how that building used to be a church…and a lot of healing has taken place.
