As far as pre election polls go, its funny that people think the cia can overthrow this government but not control what pre-election polls say from an American compny. We have no idea what the cia wants, there so many factors involved Russia, the Arabs, Israel. Its not as simple as it looks.

Actually the American company in question has a long history of conducting polls in the middle east without any bias. They are not government affiliated either but you can continue to reach. Please present proof and I will more than happy agree with you that the Iranian government rigged the election. Frankly I'd like to see them out of power.

Good point but if most of the people really wanted change you'd think they would vote for the most moderate of the candidates presented to them.

Dont underestimate the "in the time of need" factor with the perception that the world is against Iran, and the US is contemplating stright out invasion. The "war on terror" made America re-elect Bush to the pure astonishment of the world. Furthermore, we know nothing about policies and promises the candidates have made domestically. All we hear is who's pro-western and who's not.

So I'd be careful interpreting this as a "fuck you" to the world. In general I am wary about slapping tags on what I think people elsewhere must have thought when they threw a vote. We dont know that.

Besides, there seems to have been some meddling with the results, so it probably wasn't quite the landslide we were presented with.

I'm basing my argument on a small margin victory by Ahmadinejad (smaller than what was presented) as several non-biased reporters have suggested. If that is the case then the majority of people wanted him in power. I'm not slapping any tags on anyone nor do I think I have during this thread but my point is regardless of the reason they voted for him, it ultimately comes down to "they voted for him".
