one of my old roommates from college and his gf are picking me up in San Fran, and driving down to Santa Cruz. I got them 2 tics off ticketmaster. I'm so glad they said they wanted to go, I think they are like row G. LOL, row G in a 2000 seat Venue! I mean I could care less which show ends up being the "best", but I think I'm going to dig Santa Cruz in general.

What's ur guess for where I'll be in Santa Cruz for the solo show? Have ya'll seen that venue, I'm pumped about the simpleness of it. Just curious.

I've been waiting for a PJ show near me since I passed on going to San Fran in 05 since I passed on it cuz I was dumb. It's been so long, and I've been to so few shows.... as compared to how many I should have experienced (if i only had 3 wishes). You know what this tells me though, PJ will be in ATL after their next CD. And for christ's sake, if there was ever a time for PJ to play the FOX in Atlanta and revisit 5000 adoring PJ fans, that will be the time! :D

Haven't seen the venue, but I'm sure every seat is going to be great. I'm psyched for Santa Barbara.

Yeah, we all regret shows we could have went to, but you gotta live in the present tense and you got a few great ones coming up.

I'm been fortunate enough to see PJ in all sorts of venues from the large arenas like MSG to amphitheatres like Speedy's fav Camden ;) to tiny shows like the Borgata and the Vic. Each show is different and has a different meaning and I'm glad I've been as fortunate as I've been. I just wish all fans on here get to experience shows from arena rockers to smaller more intimate venues. Pearl Jam definitely rocks them all!

I know! I had a feeling with all the tics going on sale at once... santa cruz would fall to 2nd tier on lots of peoples list.... just cuz of the location. For me, it was all about it being the weekend... and the fact that it's norther Cali is such a plus for me. No offense anybody, I'm just a mountain river dude. Mountains, rivers, oceans, all in one place................. ONE DAY...hahaha. anyways, I got lucky somehow, still feels surreal.

God, I'm so stoked with this summer. Now as long as I get myself in the mountains catching some trout on the flyrod with pops, it will be complete. haha. My first show was Nashville 03, every time I hear that boot, I feel so lucky for being there. Had no idea what to expect, but there was no way I was missing it.

Same here - can't wait for the summer. This year is my 10th anniversary of my first show - Camden 1 98.

I still remember it like it just happened and carry that ticket stub with me in my wallet.

As someone who loved the band since they first came out - finally seeing them live just overwhelmed me the first time.

That's awesome man! It was like 2001 when i was off on my own, I mean i had heard of PJ.. but I didn't know which songs were PJ, when I truly filtered them out from the rest. I love it because it had absolutely nothing to do with anything anyone else was listening to, it was all based off my decisions. And here I AM! :D

Only happened to me once in Camden. Back when 10c only allowed fans to buy 1 pair to one show on the tour.
I joined the fanclub in 1992 and back then the newsletter only consisted of a photocopyed single page newsletter with the band members committing on the Victoria Williams Crazy Mary release and news from the Lollapalloza tour. I let my membership lapse in 94 because of all the moving around I did. I get myself in the head thinking how low my number would be. Probably 4 digits or less. I'm at 121*** now. I can't complain, it was my responsibility to stay on it. It is amazing to see how far 10club has come. I think when it changed over to the VHC is when it grew out its baby clothes.

I have the same, sad story. I didn't even officially 'join' back in 1992, but they sent me that single page letter anyway as membership after I wrote a letter asking about lyrics.... didn't even have to pay the 'five bones' they talked about. But then agghh...I let it lapse and now I have to make do with a 300XXX number. But at least I had my one experience in the front row at the Masonic Temple in Detroit. Probably some of the best hours of my life. :)

The way I see it, without doing all kinds of numbers crunching, is that at any given show I attend, if there are roughly 20 pairs of tickets in each of the "random" rows, then I have 80 more chances of getting better seats then my shitty 10C# would have gotten me w/o this wonderful opportunity.

    seriously!

i like reading the statistical chances...just adds to it, but really.....it's a CHANCE, no matter what. i see some saying oh your chances are slim to none, etc...but for many, many 10c members, it is the ONLY chance. before this offer, for most...they would NEVER get this chance, so how can it be anything but GOOD? why not get excited at the thought of "maybe".....?

without GA and/or a friend with an awesome # sharing the love....many/most people don't have this shot. now, this tour anyway....at ANY show....ANY member has the EQUAL shot of possibly getting the first row?! cmon now...that's fantastic! even if you don't get it, just KNOWING that most, if not all, of the people in the first 2 rows at any of the shows you attend...are there for the FIRST time?! i LOVE it! i've been front row in europe for GA......gotten better seats by travel, sharing someone's better #, etc...but i have NEVER gotten front row on my # at just a regular NA show. it would be AMAZING - and that doesn't even begin to describe it - to pick up my 10c tickets, open the envelope...and see 1st or 2nd row seats........ cmon - priceless moment!

just thinking of that, for anyone.....*goosebumps*...that alone makes each and every one of these shows so special, even moreso than ever.....and i can't wait to experience being a part of all that, whether i am *lucky*...or not! so let it be naysayers, glass-is-half-empty types ;)...it's a BEAUTIFUL thing...ENJOY every thought of EXCITEMENT and "what-ifs" up until every show! wooooooohooooooooooooooo!
    Stay with me...
    Let's just breathe...

I am myself like you somehow

Oh, in no way do I claim to be a "great fan" - that wasn't the intention of my post. God, there are scads of people here who are way into PJ. My point was simply that I see no reason why these superfans didn't join way back in the day.
That's right it was all over the internet back in 91, where were you?

    YIKES!!!!!

    170xxx was that far away????

    OUCH!!!!!!

I don't think so...I checked my records and my 161XXX has gotten me pretty much row 22 or 23 at both the Garden and the Meadowlands arenas. Gets me row 10 at Fiddlers Green or whatever it's called now, but oh well...only 2 million people in the Denver Metro Area, vs. 18 million in the New York Metro Area (2000 census). So...whaddya gonna do :-)
