League One .......isn't that two divisions bellow the premiership? ......things must have really come off the rails since I believe they actually won the premiership in the 90's before it was called that!

If they're all going to be out here, how about a PJ show somewhere in L.A. that week?? The Forum is always open. Or the Hollywood Bowl? That would be sweet, I don't think they've ever played the Bowl, have they? Somebody get on it...

There HAS to be a show....maybe not a FULL on big gig.

The Wiltern, The Fonda, Pantages.....lots of options for a one-nighters. Plus, they've done it everytime they've been in town the last few years. I totally expect there to be some kind of secret PJ show. (Hopefully they announce a full-on west coast leg though)

Well this is very cool i look forward to checking this out, but i do hope that it does not cause them to cancel or reschedule the Columbia date the night before.

i know when Wilco got picked to do SNL they had to cancel their friday date in charleston the night before so they coudl go and be there in time for rehersals and sound check etcs.... It was kind of a bummer.

I would be SOOOOO upset if PJ just cancelled the show in Columbia :(

    hopefully that won't happen.

JULY 17....you're in the wrong month man.

there was a time when Ed said that PJ is not Michael Bolton and They will not play for VH1...
    I remember.
    I'm not malicious.
I'm just saying that we all change. (Yes, I know They made Storytellers before this)...
And I am with Them, with all my soul!

I wish I could be on this show... but I can't. as usually

Jeff and Stone play with Green River the next night after the VH1 show, so that limits the bands ability to play an additional show.

Kind of a bummer. Hope they play a show beforehand.

This is the UCLA hotel.....you are supposed to be attending a UCLA event to be able to stay there....not sure if the VH1 qualifies.

How's about a few Pints at the Sherlock Holmes Pub in Trafalgar Square....we will just have to allow 13 hours to get to the venue after.

For anyone coming to L.A. for the VH1 gig, Ricky Gervais is doing 4 shows in L.A around that time....the first 2 are "warm-up" gigs at the Brentwood Theatre (close to UCLA) and the tix are relatively cheap!

Yeah, and now I'm stuck with 2 tickets to the gig on Saturday because I'm going to the VH1 show.... :(

I was in the same boat....went from having Saturday Gervais tix, then girlfriend got us Supergrass tix, then the VH1.

I sold the Gervais tix on Craigslist, and then got great seats for the Friday show.

If you're willing to purchase in advance and aren't wedded to a specific hotel, you can get pretty cheap rates through Priceline. Check out biddingfortravel.com or another hotel auction peer to peer website to see what kinds of rates people have gotten, as well as bidding strategies.

Rates around LAX or in the Valley can be dirt cheap. Closer to UCLA can be higher, but you can do OK for under $150/night.
