Goddamnit. I'll be in South America then.

Hate to be greedy, but there BETTER not be any L.A. area shows scheduled around this event. I'll be heartbroken. :(

Possibly a mini west coast tour to follow or is this all we get out here? What will it be 1 - 2 songs per band?

i doubt it and yeah it will prob be like 4-5 songs by each band, but hey you never know, they all could perform a lot longer then VH1 will just use the ebst stuff for the program.

It's a Who event, not a Pearl Jam event, that's why Who fanclub members get the first shot

Cool....the Phiily peeps keeping one another in-line!

The city of brotherly love, or in this case . . . sisterly :D

And remember people, they will be singing Who songs, not PJ songs

God this would be my dream come true, but just can't swing a west coast trip at this time

Flight to LA for PJ and then to Seattle for Green River on the 13th. I'm liking the idea more and more.

The thing that worries me... television. Television works to schedules and their union crews are inflexible. meaning, the production teams call all the shots. Even at show tapings. Plus, they always have the glitzy bullshit sparkly crap on the set.
I mean, i'd love to go.. but, I know how T.V. works. I just hope they let the bands play and cut up the tapes in post production.
    ...
I'm hoping for a finale of 'Long Live Rock' with everybody on the stage... and (sorry Matt) give the drum kit to Taylor.

I was thinking the same thing...a 2-hour tv show could take 8 hours to tape, so once a band does their thing, it could be a long time until the next band comes on...kills any momentum, but heck, it will be a great event, so I will stop complaining!

On the positive side, since its a tv taping, the bands may have to repeat their songs a few times!

this sounds cool. hopefully PJ plays Baba O Riley. I'd like one last definitive performance of it. they'd throw the kitchen sink at it on a VH1 Who tribute show.

Yeah. I was at the Grammys for the Foo Fighter outdoor gig. What a MESS. It was Live Television, so the producers dragged the Foos here for an interview and there for pictures... they had planned to do a mini-set outdoors and thought they could be introduced from the stage. Turns out... they did one song.
    ...
The thing is is worrying me the most... scalpers. That Hannah Montana hacker program is going to scoop up a huge majority of the tickets. This is a scalper's wet dream.
