I'm think it's good price - start 8.00 am and back about 7 pm if everything will be perfect .Everything depends of time of your transport to Berlin
If January's schedule is any indication there is a bus that leaves at 9:15 PM and arrives in Berlin at 4:30am so only 7 and a half hours and plenty of time to explore Berlin that day. The price is 23.75 euros which I think is ok. This is with Polskibus.com are they reliable?

I am interested in this too. Really looks like the best option that I have found though is a bus that is 7hrs 30mins long. The train is 9 plus hours with change overs I think.

I don't think there are any direct overnight trains from Krakow to Berlin, as far as I can find. I think you have to travel via Szczecin to Berlin. The overnight trains seem to leave at 18.15 or 21.30 from Krakow. The 18.15 requires an extra change, but gets you to Berlin by 10.50 and the 21.30 train is only one change, but gets you to Berlin an hour later at 12.00. Of course these are Winter timetables, I wonder whether they might change for summer? The alternative is a bus I think - I don't much fancy an overnighter on a bus...

I hear ya.. I found the Pol Rail train with transfer as well. It's a long one but a coach room with two beds is only 100 bucks.Ya need a place to sleep anyways. I would really like to do the train. Part of the experience eh..Think we will do that one.

If you want to go by train in good condition good way is connection via Warsaw but with night with Warsaw because in timetable you will find good directly train (about 5 hours from Warsaw at evening) Whole timetable...
What about early morning train at 4th for Berlin IZI??..
As you see up it isn't good way by train... And it isn't timetable for this date now...but I don't think so that will be directly train. Thank you..we see until then..

Can anyone tell me, is Krakow glowny station 24h? Is it possible to leave luggage there at 7am and collect it at midnight?
Seems like there is both manned and lockers. The manned storage is open until 10:00pm and the locker storage is 24 hours first come first served
Passenger services at the Krakow Glowny train station.
Capacity of the Krakow main train station is 5,000 passengers per hour and up to 100,000 a day (i.e. 24 hours). On an average day some 660 trains run its 12 tracks.
There are 28 ticket windows. Even if not all of them are open on any ordinary day, the management tries to anticipate peak hours and high seasons so long queuing is rare. Plus there are automatic ticketing machines.
Left luggage facilities consist of four banks of coin-operated lockers situated in four bays in the row of ticket windows.
Passengers may shop at twelve stores including a pharmacy, bookstores, and a supermarket.
Toilets for the general public are located downstairs, in the southwestern corner of the station, together with showers and a diaper changing room. Lavatories for the disabled persons is situated in the station’s southeastern corner.

Internet knows everything I'm from Kraków and I'm don't know about lockers Kraków Główny is so close the city Center I'm think that you can leave big luggage beetwen 7-22 and a small one in lockers 24 hours. Give me few days I'm try to check it out at the station
Staying at Holiday Inn very near the old town, and looks like quite easy tram connections to the venue. Originally booked a hotel close to the venue, but it looks like there's really nothing else there. Staying two nights and leaving late on the 4th to Berlin, so have plenty of time to explore the city.
