Is there anyone from Krakow that's a 10C member on here?0

I'd really like to but I'm unsure if with the buzz of the night before, and the excitement of Berlin, that it will feel right to visit there if you see what I mean. For those of you travelling from further afield (I'm only coming from uk) I understand that you want to pack in as much sightseeing stuff as possible.SmallestOceans said:Anybody planning on going to Auschwitz on the 4th?0 -
Cheers, I might look into that. Hostels are more my thing though. And just 5 minutes ago my learned that I might be able to score a couch with friends. We'll see...Gingerlou77 said:

Which neighborhoods are folks targeting for hotels? Tauron Arena seems to be somewhat removed from the main part of the city, and it doesn’t look like there are many hotel options in the immediate vicinity. It looks like it’s about a 10 minute tram ride plus 10-15 minute walk from the old town square to the Arena.5/28/06 - Camden, NJ

At this point I may say only that there are some initial plans or ideas for preparty in Krakow. In the coming days I will try also to write some tips of sightseeing, hotels etc.0

Bus tour should have me back at hotel on Old Town by 4.0 -
If a bunch of fans are going to do this on showday I may reconsider doing it on the second. This will not allow time for the salt mines though. Lots of decisions to make in the near future.BS44325 said:

I just booked the Betmanowska Main Square Residence. It’s pretty central...close enought to the train station and has what looks like a pretty solid pub in it.

I am - if not the previous day, is there a bus tour? Or are you going on your own? Thanks...SmallestOceans said:Anybody planning on going to Auschwitz on the 4th?0 -
A friend of mine that has friends in Krakow is looking into the logistics. I'll let you know when I have more information.VanEyck said:

I went to mines. They are amazing. Tour isn't really long and I thought it was beautiful.Just read that. Seems like it would be cheaper to do yourself but I imagine the benefit of skipping the line and the guided tour would be well worth it. Has anyone done the salt mines? They look like a must do as well.0 -

Thinking of doing this now. Arriving in Prague the day of the show. Getting situated and explore the city. Stay at the hotel after the show. Explore the city again on the 2nd. Get a night train into Krakow. Explore the city Stay in the hotel after the show. Do the Auschwitz/Salt Mine tour the next day and do the train night train on the 4th to Berlin.0

I'm doing the Prague-Krakow-Berlin jaunt as well. Looking at trains, I think I'll get into Krakow at around 5.30pm, so if anyone is up for a few (inevitably cheap) drinks it would be good see a few of you.
I think I'm staying at something called P&H Apartments that's very much in the city centre.Post edited by SpinTheLastExit on2012 – Manchester II

This might work...I know the train is a fairly long trip(14 hrs-Krakow to Berlin) but a cabin for two on PolRail is around 668PZ(120.00 Cdn) each. Based on regular schedules you can leave Krakow at around 9:30pm Wednesday night and arrive in Berlin around noon on Thursday. I'm kinda liking this option. BYOBPJNB said:Thinking of doing this now.
