Release is my favorite opener. GTF and Corduroy are staples that could and should get played at every show. Gotta pick something here and RVM is just the slightest of notches below the others for me.

Sentimental value is nice, but come on!

My first instinct is to vote against Given To Fly. It is an absolutely awesome/essential PJ song that I'd probably put into my top 10 but the other three are in my top 5. HOWEVER, my personal rankings are based on live performances (I never listen to studio albums these days) and I have already admitted that Release is a much better song live. Yet, speaking of live performances, I'm really not digging the new live versions of Corduroy (already discussed in previous round) so that hurts it a bit - but not enough to vote against it. As for RVM, I don't think I could vote against such a well-rounded PJ tune but was it truly the Vs. winner? It never had to go head-to-head against Animal in a final round.

Also, PJ thrives at the mid to up tempo songs such as Corduroy, RVM, Unthought Known etc. I think they're at their best at this tempo.

It was far too early in the voting to make a strategy vote, I got ahead of myself by a long measure lol
You never really had to begin with.
Sometimes it's not the song that makes you emotional it's the people and things that come to your mind when you hear it.
