@ people commenting about the HOF stuff. Eligibility is 25 years from your first album release! I'll leave you with this; Nirvana released first album in 1989 and was inducted in 2014, green day released first album in 1990 and was inducted in 2015, PJ released first album in 1991. Do the math!!

This is exactly what I've always thought... who the hell came up with this 2017 shit?

I don't believe it's first album I think it's first record. Which could be a single. Nirvana released it's first single in 1988. Green Day released an EP in 1989. Nirvana was voted in in 2013. And inducted the next year. It's very confusing. So you could be right. But every website has PJ eligible in 2016.

It's really simple. It's 25 years after their first recorded material was released. For Nirvana that was 1988, so 25 years was 2013. Green Day was 1989 so they were eligible last year. Pearl Jam didn't release anything until Ten in August 1991, making them eligible for the 2017 ceremony and the NOMINATIONS will be announced in 2016. The ceremony is in the summer, so Ten wouldn't even be 25 yet next year when bands are inducted.
They already announced the 2016 nominees last week so this isn't really up for debate. They didn't just "forget" about Pearl Jam and plan to make an additional announcement in the future.
while msg was changed and somewhat downgraded in some areas compared to the old building (and everyone neglects to mention its alos better in some ways (bathrooms, beer lines, hallway congestion) ) - there is nothing special about barclays. it has average to below average sound and its a cookie cutter box shaped arena with no special defining characteristics. i think the side seats feel fathter away from the stage at barclays than they do at msg

Completely agree. Barclays is very sterile and hollow for concerts. I've seen McCartney and PJ there and neither show felt like the crowd was a part of it. Tough to explain without experiencing it.

100% agree. there was absolutely no "feel" in barclays. it's just a building.
Barclays is brutal. Went to both PJ shows, saw the Stones show as well. It is just not a very warm arena.
Also, as an Islanders fan I really despise this place.
As an Isles fan too, I think it will get better over time. But I'm also a Nets fan so I kind of have to feel that way.
I wish, but I was at the home-opener (and a few preseason games there) and even though it was sold out on paper it was only 70% full at best. And only 11K in attendance on a holiday game monday. This is place is bad news. Love the Coliseum.
THUS, hoping plays PJ is back at the Garden. They did such a great job renovating MSG.
