Please play MSG if this tour ever happens. Barclays was cool but no burning desire to see another show there again. We all know the band loves playing the garden.

I'm a New Yorker who hates both teams that play at MSG but I cant think of an arena as historical as MSG.
I don't know, I love seeing PJ at different venues/arenas/cities/etc.. There's just something magical that happens at MSG for concerts. It's fkn New York City, it's a great place... I don't live there so hell yeah I'm going to visit when it calls for it, especially PJ playing there. Philly and Boston are right behind it. Sorry folks, that's just the way it is. I'm not even from the East Coast but I've lived here (VA/DC) for five years and I will tell you, East Coast loves them some PJ!!!!!

MSG is a shorter train ride for me, which is the only reason I'd prefer it. Other than that I don't care much either way.

MSG just brings something out in bands that is so special. Every show I've seen there, from any band, has been exceptional. Truly a one-of-a-kind place to see live music (or a sporting even for that matter!)

I really don't like Barclays for shows, personally, but if it's there, no complaining from me, as it' still easy to get to. And one of my favorite beer spots in the city is nearby! :)

I am from NY and I hate the Knicks and Rangers.

MSG is the best arena in the country. And the reason it is is where it is.

Here's my question about MSG, and I'm neutral on the subject: Why is MSG the best? Is it for sound? Atmosphere? Or is it purely for historical reasons and location?

Not sound. Purely atmosphere and historical. I think most bands coming up dream of playing there so when they finally do, they bring it.
