Mine was delivered this morning. Red Splatter (thanks 10c).

Not sure what the earlier comment was about the sound quality. It sounds really good (maybe they didn't like the mix, the audience is very forward). and doesn't sound like an AUD. Vinyl is flat with a little surface noise, but I haven't cleaned it yet. Great show though.

Its funny that for just under 20 years I had only 1 Mad Season record and now in the span of about 2 years I have 3 additional records (River 10", both Live albums) Its awesome.

Glad to hear you got a variant, to me it just sounded muddy with no instrument separation, but I'm glad your enjoying it. Thats a cool thing about mastering, 100 people can hear 100 different things.

I ordered both vinyls - Live at the Moore and Seattle Symphony - 10C package arrived in the UK today with only Live at the Moore inside :( I assume people got both vinyls in the same package and I had one missed in error?

I also ordered both in one order. I received the Live @ The Moore vinyl yesterday. Around Sept 11th you would of received a 2nd shipping confirmation email that the Symphony vinyl shipped out.
Thanks! :) I emailed 10c and got a very quick and efficient response saying same thing!

I get this. I'm on side 3 and it does sound a bit muddy. Especially on Lifeless Dead.

While I wanted to 'spin the splattered circle' I will have to be pleased with just spinning the black one. Thanks 10c....sounds great on my system...

Congrats on the score. It is funny to keep listening to the same songs over and over, just different versions.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California
    Nothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights
    2022- Oakland Night 2

Yeah. Not much more to squeeze out of the old Mad Season stuff. But I've enjoyed what they did get out of it.

Stopped by the house at lunch and found the always exciting flat, square package waiting on the stoop w/ the black vinyl inside. A little disappointed it's not the spatter but looking forward to spinning the album nonetheless

The splattered version looks incredible in the pics that've been posted :flushed:. For the Third Man collectors out there, the Sonic Evolution splatter is quite reminiscent of the TMR's 7" sun-ray variants of the Sun Records re-releases, yes?

Something tells me we'll see more "splatter vinyl" out there soon... Must be a new vinyl type. Here's another one trey is putting out there but it's green. They call it a "splatter" also.

Edit- definitely not new. After searching around, it appears splatter vinyl has been around since the 1940's.

There is. I have the Gaslight Anthem's Get Hurt on red/white splattered, the New Pornographers Brill Bruisers on multi-color/white splatter, and the White Stripes Under Amazonian Lights on red/black splatter.

I like the picture on the sleeve where Matt is looking at Mike. They both look very handsome all dressed up :)

Which is not what you expect, since it was recorded so long ago. You would think shows recorded now would be of the highest quality.

The "loudness wars" have really been detrimental in terms of quality recordings. For the most part, early CDs (80s-early to mid-90s) sound a lot better than recent ones. And a lot of vinyl is ruined because the producers and artists think one mastering fits all formats and they source it from digital.
