NBA tickets are still available for purchase if there's a game 5 in Toronto over @ http://www.ticketmaster.ca/toronto-raptors-playoffs-round-2-toronto-ontario/event/10005075DB523E9C?tm_link=edp_onsale&bba=1 Toronto Raptors Playoffs - Round 2 Home Game 3 .. if ... the Raptors win today & force a Game 5 in the 2nd round. They will get the May 11th slot.

The Who had to move their show many day's back because of the Raptors. It'll probably be the same for Pearl Jam. It'll be pushed to Thursday. The ACC isn't booked for that day. Doubt the NBA will force Game 5 for Thursday.

I know nothing about basketball but Tweeted the NBA and they actually replied:

"If MIA-CHI goes 7 and the Raptors win their series the PJ 5/11 will be moved"

Ugh. I'll have to change flights if they win. Have MSG tonight, I'll worry about this tomorrow. Haha

Looking at the schedule, If the Raptors win tonight, they are scheduled to have Game 5 of the series in Toronto on May 11th.

Do they ever move the NBA for concerts? Or will PJ be pushed back to Thursday night?

Wes I wouldn't worry about it. The keyword being IF the Raptors win tonight. Doesn't do any good speculating until we actually know. Having said that, I believe the promoter was aware of the possibility there would be a conflict, in which case the Raptors take precedence if I'm not mistaken.

Would they even reschedule after tonight though? If the Raptors win, but they sweep the next series, the arena would still be open the 10th? Would they wait and see how round 2 plays out?

It would absolutely suck for people that have tickets to the show, but I'd be stoked as it would mean I'd actually be able to attend.

Nope. Same thing happened in the Cleveland series. wont be announced until necessary

Ouch, can you imagine the uproar if Raptors/other team go 3-0 and then lose game 4?

It might be. Boston didn't get a second date in 2010 because of potential playoff games. It turned out neither the Bruins or Celtics had a home date on the night that turned out to be the Newark show.

It seems random as to what does and doesn't get rescheduled. I remember following playoff series that had weird gaps between games because of other events scheduled at the arenas. With that tweet from the NBA however, this seems pretty clear PJ would get bumped.

Might be cheaper all around to just move a 2nd show to Hamilton on the 11th.

How sure are we about this? Seems like MLSE would have some say in this as well, and I can't see them wanting to tear down from the concert for the game, to then tear it all down again. Series don't follow a strict format all the time.....

If you look at the Golden State vs Portland round 2 schedule, there isn't a "game one day, day off next day" over and over. In fact, I believe there are three days off between games 2 and 3.
