It's opened 5 consecutive shows for me. Time for something new. It can open the 2nd set, that's fine. But I don't really want a 6th straight Pendulum opener. I still like the song, so don't ruin it for me by keeping it as the opener.

Long road and Oceans for south Fla openers

    Exactly what I've been thinking.

Long Road to start tour (for Bowie, prob a couple others), and Oceans to open in Miami since arena is right on the water.

Then we get Pendulum in Tampa and Small Town in Jax.

I don't want it shelved, I could hear it at every show, but it could be moved around a bit. It would close out the first set or open the second set very well IMO

Exactly. It was a pre-opener anyway. Placement is the key from here on out. Love that song.

That's funny. Now I don't care. Whatever they choose to play whenever is fine by me. Ed knows what he's doing. But, I am more "concerned" about closer than opener. As much as I love it, I would not miss Yellow Ledbetter if they forgot to play it this tour.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

I'm with you on this. I'd be ok with them keeping Pendulum as an opener if they mixed up the second encore a little bit more.

I don't mind if they keep playing the song in general, but it would be nice for them to mix up its placement in the show and even leave it out some nights. Basically just treat it like any other non-rarity song in the catalog.

I don't even know this song (haven't kept up with the last couple or so albums) but telling a band to "shelve" certain songs?

It's probably me, my mindset...but damn, man. For a band that has given so much - again, from this perspective - seems rude and presumptuous.

I'm not saying ban it or burn it; just sayin' I've heard enough of it live. Band knows what its doing, and whatever it does live is cool with me. Simply a preference, not a condemnation.

Vedd Hedd, nice to see you!

Yeah, just haven't searched them out with the newer stuff, but still loving on what tied - and still ties - me to the music. They'll always be one of my anchors, and hoping we get a local show announced soon.

Asking a band to not play a song because you're tired of it?- it's only 2yrs old, really?

I like it, but would probably have a slight preference for Release or Oceans. They're all great though!

As others have said, it was really treated like a pre-opener, where the band then went into the more traditional openers. For example, at Brooklyn 1, we got Pendulum into Release and then Oceans to open the encores. I have no complaints at all.

In any event, i would assume that they do something different this time around.
