3 days away from the 1st anniversary of the legendary Astoria gig. Damn that's flown by! Does anyone who went remember how they felt this time last year?

Hyper excited though, strangely enough, chilled as well (I had tickets!). Got even more excited at the Royal George... Couldn't wait for the doors to open... then.. ecstasy.... *swoons*

Flow on friday? 9pm? Relive the moment. Can you make it Byrnzie?

I remember being so happy and exited when I got the tickets I couldn't stop telling people I was going to watch them. Come to think about it I was a right pain in the ass, all I could talk about was Pearl Jam :D
    Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,
    Dusseldorf 21/06/07, Manchester 17/08/09, London 18/08/09, LA 06/10/09, LA 07/10/09.

Ain't gonna be any middle anymore.

Very apprehensive (was it going to live up to the hype my friends had built?) and nervous (will I be able to get there early enough to be close? what time do I need to leave work? hope they don't open the doors before I get there..what if they cancel? )

needed not have worried on any account :D

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

I ca't believe it's almost been a year. A year ago at this time, I was probably considering how to sneak my camera in for the show.

Man...a year ago it is was. And that thread is STILL going!!!!

I think at this time I was supposed to be writing my dissertation, going to meetings with my project lecturer etc...but bailing on it all coz I was too excited to think about anything else and posting meaningless posts on here instead (bugger all has changed in a yr then!)

What sort of celebrations is in store for Friday? Is everyone listening to the boot with a bottle of vino or something?

Quite into them? I wouldn't say that. I'm not a geek thanks.

I actually hadn't and still haven't even bothered to read what you're making reference to. So there's no need to even mention it. If i had read it and was bothered, i would've said something.

I saw them a few weeks ago.....they kinda sounded like just played on long continuous, monotonous song for 45 minutes.

At this time a year ago, if we're going by day rather than date, we were travelling towards London on the train from the 'diff. I remember going for a meal down the road beforehand and not being able to eat much as I was too excited!
