Mother? Well How About...

....Wish You Were Here...one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs...too obvious? maybe...but I do believe that Pearl Jam would do this song justice....just an opinion...

    Doh, well, ok. In fact, when I met a certain band's rhythm guitar player, I asked him what he thought of covering Shine On You Crazy Diamond one day and he loved the idea but then thought it might be too hard for them to nail....

    I think Mother was a perfect example of why they shouldn't do any Floyd song, especially from Meddle or after. It just wasn't great. Also, PJ tends to play stuff too heavy handed and Pink Floyd offers more subtlety than they're generally willing to tackle when it comes to covers.

    I'll agree: the JK live version of Mother was kinda rough.
