    Nah. I am not flying across the country to see Ed sit on a stool and play shitty accoustic/protest/ITW/riot act songs. I'd go and he'd sit there and play Cropduster accoustic and I'd injure myself by shoving pencils in my ears.

    So, probably not a good idea for me to go.

    Enough about that. This thread is about how awesome JET are.

    pjoasis - not sure about the new album....everytime I think to look them up, I'm at work and most of the music news sites are blocked.

    Oasis are bloody fookin awesome.

    Acquiesce (my favorite tune by them) is killer and Oasis are terrific songwriters.

    I'll give Noel credit for writing some great songs - Champagne Supernova, DLBIA, Importance of Being Idle - but a decade or so of complete overexposure and overratedness over here has pretty much soured me on them for good.

    Oh goodness me, are you seriously doubting Michael Stipe's vocal prowess?! For a start he doesn't have a whiney nasal tone, and he can sing live. Their songs are less about wonder walls and champagne supernovas, and more about real emotions and stuff.

    I dislike the fact that they think they're the second Beatles based on a very average collection of songs. If they weren't so damned arrogant about it, they'd just be another band I never took the time to notice.
