    Particularly this line:

"Phoney prophets stole the only light I see
    and the darkness softly screams"
"I remember one night at Muzdalifa with nothing but the sky overhead, I lay awake amid sleeping Muslim brothers and I learned that pilgrims from every land — every colour, and class, and rank; high officials and the beggar alike — all snored in the same language"

  • I'd have to pick Samuel Barber's 'Adagio for Strings'

Wow, I was thinking this as I read the first post and was very surprised to see another person posted it before me :)

There's an acapalla part in the heather nova song, 'ear to the ground', from her first record. Her voice is layered over itself half a dozen times, I expect that's what angels would sound like.

    See These Bones
  • The saxophone part in Jungleland off of the album Born to Run.
    Oooooooh, Hell Yeah! Bad ass.

    the end of Layla

Since we're coming up on that time of the year...I nominate the last verse of the original version of The Little Drummer Boy by the Harry Simeone Chorale. Accept no substitutes.
Don't threaten me with a good time.
  • Paul McCartney playing "Something" on a ukelele at the George Harrison tribute concert.

Brain Wilson's world premiere of "Smile" in London.

Both of those made me cry.

Good one. I also love the original solo demo version of Something on the Anthology album
