I'd have to pick Samuel Barber's 'Adagio for Strings'

Every time I hear that I get tears in my eyes. It's so overwhelmingly morose.

mick hucknall dying by choking on his own vomit after a Babycham binge... its not happened yet, but when it does it will be the most beautiful thing in music... until then i think it might be the guitar solo of Midlake's - Head Home... (2.49 into this video ... which gives me goose bumps every time... and it makes me do the guitar face. :)

LOL at your hatred for Mick Hucknall!!!

Hard to argue with that one, that piano sends shivers down my spine.

My mother has recently become the minister of a church and they have a load of pianos as well as an organ in there. When it was empty the other week I played Chloe Dancer on one of the pianos. The acoustics in the place were amazing. It was fucking cool :D

Of course, there's a lot to be said for the ironic beauty of playing songs about prostitutes and junkies in a church :o

    That made me laugh :)

The first time I ever heard The Soulsavers Revival. I love that song but I wish I could go back to the first time I heard it.

I love that song like I love my own right hand... I had no idea what to expect from Lanegan/Soulsavers, but as soon as I heard Revival, I knew it was gonna be great.
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

I think part of the beauty of that song was having no clue what to expect. You put the album on, Revival comes on and hits you like a train....but an amazing train. Amazing album and unbelievable song!
