I remember one time during a song the singer says "Great photo op coming up"
Then he ran to the front of the stage, center, and raised both his arms to the sky in a V, then kneeled down...
that was very gay... but I still like some of their music!0 -
He was probably just fucking around. If I could, think I would give in.0

Coldplay are safe. Sometimes I wish they would push their creative envelope a little more, and sometimes I like the old ways of AROBTTH and Parachutes. Musically I think X&Y was the bands best effort...musically. Lyrically, it was a turd. That could have been a really special album but the lyrics dragged it down too much.
Put the b-sides from X&Y on the album and you've got an amazing album.0 -
Wussy........yes. Gay.......no
The only really gay music is like Culture Club, Morrissey, George Michael, etc.Alpine Valley 2000

how about Coldplay is actually a fucking great band...quality records
'gay'...'wussy'...please, we're not discussing pop artists here. Coldplay is really a Radiohead-U2 inspired band that people just don't give a chanceI've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.

Word that. No matter how many times I hear "the Scientist", I love it more than the time before. If I could, think I would give in.0 -

What? Gay artists exist but you can't have "gay music". I've never heard the term "straight music" being applied to Pearl Jam (for example).0 -
I recently asked the board what they thought of coldplay and didn't get much in the way of positive responses, really liked the song beach chair from the last jay z album that martin was on and picked up arobtth and the album is great with the title track being my fave. x&y just didn't really change that much from the previous outing and sounds too similiar to stand out to me.Seems the more you make
equals the loneliness you get0 -
probably notAthens, Greece: 2006/09/30

Then you have pretty much heard everything they have done to date.Bloody massively overrated DULLARDS IMO.'All the rusted signs,we ignore throughout our lives,

I'm not a fan of Coldplay as some of you may think from reading my posts above, hehe. I've never seen them live. But majority songs that i've heard were pretty good.0

I'm here to join you on that shameful list!;)
I am a Coldplay fan since Parachutes which is still their best IMHO but the latter stuffs are great as well.
Coldplay's worst song still sounds fuckin better to me than anything RHCP released after Californication (and that's obviously not their best one...). Yes, I am an old school fan but if you ask me I'd say RHCP is the worst letdown of the last 10 years!
However I DON'T think Coldplay is a VERY great live band: their setlists are the same night by night and still pretty short ( MUSE)...and Chris Martin as a frontman on stage is simply embarrasingBudapest.Budapest.Arnhem.Antwerpen.Vienna.Madrid.Katowice.Nova_rock.Nijmegen.Rotterdam.Berlin.Dublin.Belfast.London.Venice.Prague.Stockholm.Copenhagen.Vienna.Leeds.Milton_keynes.Padova.Prague.Seattle1.Seattle2.Chicago1.Budapest.Cracow.Vienna..>>>LONDON.BERLIN1.BERLIN2

i've seen them live twice. the second time was better, being outside in the lite rain, a week before i popped the question to my wife who is a huge Coldplay fan. but, i know what you are saying about them live. i'm not in a hurry to see them live again but i will listen to the music. although i guess i should go see them since i drag my wife to see Pearl Jam
