Gigwise reports: Pete Townshend has removed a self penned story from his own website after complaints from children’s charities.

The story entitled ‘The Comedian’ told of a fictional sexual encounter between two sixteen year olds as was blasted by one charity as “just a form of titillation".

Speaking about the story Kidscape director Michele Elliot told the BBC: "It's just a form of titillation. Responsible adults should not put graphic details of teenagers having sex on the web."[

    what a fucking worthless post, so what, he wrote about 2 kids having sex at 16. The honest to God truth is that is when kids are starting to have sex. If he would have wrote this about 12 year olds, whatever, but come on. The last thing Pete is is a pedophile. Get rid of this shit of a post

    Actually, it's a very, very stupid thing to have done. He's already on the offenders register over here due to his "research" a couple years ago. I love The Who and think Townshend is brilliant musically, but he's obviously a nutter.

    oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    Not to get too graphic but surely one should know that Pictures of Lilly is about self pleasure.

    I take it that " Fiddle about" relates to Pete's our experience.

    Exactly. Pete Townshend is famous because of his ability of articulate the confusions of adolesence. Without his enormous screw up four years ago this would be more of what he's been doing his entire career.
