    i love his solo work on the singles soundtrack aswell, seasons reminds me of a place back where i used to live, i cant put my finger on it.
    best soundgarden song: like suicide (about a bluebird that broke its neck on one of chris's windows and he had to put it out of its misery with a brick, such an amazing song)

    Soundgarden's Superunknown is an awesome album. Its one of those ones where it's all got the same kind of drive and certain aspect that will keep you coming back to it, yet not all the songs sound the same, if that makes sence. Especially things like Head Down and Half. I loved a few songs from Audioslave's first self titled album, but it went down hill very quickly. I saw them live in Lollapalooza in Denver the year the album came out, and it was a very good gig, but I still would say Soundgarden is one to get as they are better, and Tom Morrello's guitar went better with Rage Against The Machine.

    Got to say that it was Fell on Black days, specifically the video version.Occasionally I would catch it as a kid on the TV but never new who it was but it is one of those songs that sticks in your mind.It is also an amazing video and easily the greatest first listen ever. Till this day have never and probably will never hear some one sing like that- it is truly unique, though both Ed and Bruce Springsteen have made good attempts at live video recordings.You have to believe him when he screams 'I sure don't mind a chaaaaaaaaaaaange!!'. Simply bad ass.

    1) Badmotorfinger - "Searching With My Good Eye Closed" is just sick!!!

    Soundgarden, TOTD and his solo stuff are all tied in first place. I love Audioslave but I think he's earlier work was better IMO :)

    Yeah it doesn't get any better than Cornell incoherent screaming like a banshee. Personally I prefer to hear his lyrics.

    This band was MINDBLOWING. While some ppl may/will take offense to this next statement: Soundgarden was Led Zeppelin on steroids IMO. When it comes to soprano vocalists, Cornell blows the fuck out of EVERYONE. I mean, a lot of soprano rock vocalists have a pussy tone, but even when Cornell sings high enough to shatter glass, it still has raw power behind it that will make you want to throw bricks at those bad neighbors that piss you off!!! But anways...

    1. Superunknown: Cornell's best work in my opinion. Everything, from the songwriting, instrumental work, and vocals are excellently crafted and is far above phenomenal. On this album, the bands overall sound has the texture of an orchestra (which is something that most good rock bands can't even accomplish). "Like Suicide" is my fav. Soundgarden song, and I also love "4th of July," "Head Down," and "Limo Wreck."

    2. Badmotorfinger: This is Soundgarden's most raw work. Cornell lashes out his vocal abilities to the max on this album and shows how metal he is!!! Also, the lyrics will bitchslap you in the face and "Mind Riot" will make you bleed internally!!!

    3. Temple of the Dog: Of course this album is a masterpiece bc PEARL JAM is on it!!!! But seriously, not only does this album prove that Matt Cameron is a legend and has always in a sense been a part of Pearl Jam, but also shows how passionate Chris Cornell is about life. Many of the songs were dedicted towards Andrew Wood, and this album allowed Cornell to step into new boundries musically IMO.
