I Want Ten Club To Raise Our Membership Fee

  • $20.00 is enough. How about they loose the fancy "Deep" and go back to the news letters they used to do? I don't care about their employees recipes anyways.

How much more would it cost them to have bigger bandwidth and a secure site?

I don't remember exactly, but they used ticketmaster for the VFC tour and Boston warmup shows. I don't know if fees were charged, but Pearl Jam definitely used ticketmaster for that. We each got individual passwords in our profiles on the goods page for the sales.

I remember that. I went to the Reading show, but I don't think seniority was used at all. That's a tremendous downside.

I didn't say it was the best plan. ;) But I did know a few 300000+ members who got front row in Boston so that made their night.

  • I would rather pay the money and spend an hour on the internet vs spending 4 hours trying to get tickets and then 1 hour with my bank trying to fix the mess they created. I am out much more than $100, just for the time this all took.
Not to mention, you would think the band wouldn't want ticketmaster to look so good in regards to getting people what they pay for!

I also want 10C to go back to a max amount of tickets per member, that way you could control the jerk off's that log into multiple computers.

Raising the US payment to being on par with the international fans' payment of $25 will more than do the trick.

I'll nick a server from work and send it to them if it'll stop everyone from moaning!

Even if you all got handed all the tickets to the shows you wanted to go to by Eddie Vedder himself - there would still be someone not happy, and start a billion threads about how shitty the colour of the envelope was or something!

But yeah, $100 is steep. I couldn't care less about the deep magazine, the vinyl or any of that. I just like spending 3 hours of one working day every 6 years trying to get tickets! :D

oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Please raise it to $100.00 per year, send out 4 "Deep" issues (every 3 months),keep the annual vinyl and put the rest toward's upgrading the server's so that they can handle the crush of ticket buyer's.
That way everyone who is fast enough on the draw can all get through and be on our merry way in 5 or 10 minutes. The sale would be over in less than a half hour and we could all get back to work instead of "hoping" & "trying" for tix.

Pearl Jam is one of the biggest bands in the world, and there is no reason that we can't pay $100 annually,to be certain something will work when we go to purchase stuff.Sure that's a lot of money for a fan club, but it's only $12.00 a month.Save that all year and it won't be so bad.

The Stone's,The Police & i'm sure some other's out there charge that amount for joining their fan clubs.
I have no problems helping to pay for better and faster servers,so that the band doesn't have to,so that i can have a fair shot of getting through the whole ordering process without getting bounced out repeatedly.

I had ticket's for 3 show's (L.A.1 & 2 and San Diego) in my cart 3 seperate time's,and never made it through the checkout before the servers died again.

When do i send my Ben Franklin in?

not to mention many will not renew...

may get me better seats, but not the purpose of a fan club.. its about Pearljammership! keep it low is my vote.
  • this thread is insane..........

$100 for what, they haven't been doin' a good job thus far

show me some quality service then I would think about it

    No way.

$100 for what? They don't even tour ever year. What happens if there's no tour that year. Than we paid $100 for the server to work, but, because there were no shows, and nothing new to buy, the servers weren't tested, so its $100 down the drain. I think this is an awful idea.

    I agree.
This is a fucked up idea of a desperate fan!!!;) CALM DOWN!!!

  • I think this is a good idea. Less people will renew. My number will be get me better tickets. 10c can spend more money on servers and they will have less members to sort out.

    Perfect.
  • I'm against any idea that doesn't serve all of the people well.

$100 yearly to join a fan club? That's just crazy talk...

Also if it was $100 I would probably just say Fuck it, download the MP3 version of the Christmas Single, and use the money I saved to buy really good seats off of ebay or something when they come to my area.

Perhaps it's already been said--I'm being lazy and not sorting through 60+ posts to find out...

But PEARL JAM and their bounteous resources (which they earn from US) should be able to afford the equipment necessary to make this problem go away.

There is absolutely no way you can convince me that we, the Ten Club members, should have to pay for such. It is their problem, their responsibility, and their negligence (assuming it is not rectified).

If fees are raised, there had better be an increase in productivity and customer service commensurate with said increase in dues.

Haven't fan club dues doubled since 2002 or was it 2001?

I wouldn't mind it went up a little maybe 10 bucks to ensure less server failures but thats about it.
