Wear what you want who cares what anyone thinks...
Thread closed!!Conversations getting dull
There's a constant ringing in my ears
Sense of humor's void and numb
And I'm bored to tears.......0 -

I dunno. It's everywhere.
I find this site about it especially funny.

I don't do it because I like the opportunity to promote another band I like. I mean it's like, "Dude check it out... someone at a Pearl Jam concert likes Pearl Jam!!!"
But in all seriousness, I don't care or make fun of those that do.0 -
I never do it......its just one of those things you don't do.Out of the Blue and Into the Black................Uncle Neil Philly 08 here I come!!!!0

I've worn PJ shirts at PJ concerts (and wear one at every Bridge Concert, too), but I don't do this all the time. And when I used to see the Dead a lot, there were tons of people who wore GD shirts, or at least GD-related/inspired t-shirts (me being one of 'em). But no other bands have done this for.
I don't see anything wrong with this "rule" actually. Wear whatever you want. And if you're wearing a tour shirt from 10+ years ago, I think it shows that you're a true fan.Rock on!

for crying out loud this thread pops up every once in a whilst and causes shit.
BUt to answer, its just such a rule. You wear a shirt to show (extra) support for the band you like. I think its great as well becuase you can see the wide range of tours and stuff. Like if someone wears an astoria shirt i can be like yo you were at the astoria? me tooand stuff.

sometimes i wear a PJ shirt, sometimes I don't
well, come to think of it, i wore a PJ shirt all three concerts this summer.0 -
Bah. This AGAIN!
Clothes are a part of transmitting information about yourself to others yay? So travelling down to the show fellow jammers identify each other and so on.
But where is the issue here anyway - why would it be considered sad in any way to wear the t-shirt of the band you're seeing play? These threads ramble away without anybody giving a valid reason for this 'infamous rule'.
btw, I go in my lovely new chequered top from Topman and ketchup-stained jogging bottoms which I'll obviously be masturbating through once the show starts. Keep your eye out for shaking bushes outside the venue, the whole grim universality of yer band t-shirts play the ladeez straight into me hands.0 -

Thank you! that's how I feel.
short story: I was in line for VH1 Rock Honors when a woman next to me turns to her guy friends and says "well, at least your not like some of the assholes who wear the band shirt for the band you're seeing". She turned around and saw me with my Who shirt (one i've had since i bought it at my first Who concert in '80). She gets totally embarrased and stutters "well your's is vintage! that's okay!" I laughed, said it's okay, I'm an asshole. She was so embarrased, I ALMOST felt sorry for her.0 -
i like to wear other bands t-shirts to concerts, i never knew it was a rule...i thought it was my thing, guess not. Hey...what the hell is the movie PCU?? Im very curious now, thanks.0
