such a perfect song to open the unplugged show. i loved it when ed said "thats a little love song i wrote about my surfboard... actually its about someone named beth who hopefully i'll see tomorrow". i got the unplugged show for £3!!! it would have been worth it just for oceans if you ask me

Stupid me..I bought a copy of it from e-bay..(thinking that I would receive an actual copy.) Instead the prick sent me a burnt copy of it. I was pissed. Really pissed..

Yeah this site is kick ass! Check out the Oceans demo. Pretty trippy stuff. I completely prefer Ed's vocals on the studio version...fits way more. Still, pretty damn cool that we can hear such things all on one site.

Ok, to save them you need to do it one by one. Click on the song and then it will open in the little Quicktime window...let it completely load and once it does just go to "File" at the top of your browser and hit "Save Page As". This should save the mp3 to your desktop.

While I'm sharing the love I'll share another stellar version of this always gorgeous song.

I love this version (like there's ANY version I don't love...but yeah:p ). I can't even put into words what the man does to me when he hits my sig line! MY GOD!! Every version switches it up in some way...sometimes his voice is so strong there, sometimes it quivers, other times it's just so gentle and other times twirly. Regardless, it always floors me and the way he makes it rise and fall like a wave!? Jesus!! I love how perfectly in sync this song is with itself.:o

From 7/8/95 Summerfest show ~courtesy of 5H!! This crowd is the best! Totally freaking out! YES! Apparently this is the show where all the 5H people met and from then on OCEANS has always been a VERY special song for them.

if someone doesn't post in this thread soon it is gonna get relegated to history and that'd be a shame. Come on people! all this love for oceans is great and life-affirming but we can't have run out of superlatives to describe this song yet surely?

oceans is truly goosebump-inducing. I am currently downloading as many versions of it as I can find to stick on the iPod. I'm currently on only 6!

Listening Oceans right now... my thoughts are all gone, just hearing "oooooh ooooooooh.... uuuhhh uuuuhhhh!!"

I think that there're no words to describe the feelings this song brings me...
I stayed on the beach all new year's night, in a party that ended 12 AM next morning, and meanwhile we were driving to the party we put Oceans in the car and we just flew away..... listening very loud the song while we were at the beach in the middle of the night.... I think that's the best way to start the year, don't you think?

I love oceans so much.

I can't really explain why, and it would take ages if i tried to explain it, but that song means so much to me. Definitely one of my favourites by Pearl Jam, i have many favourites but that ones always right up there.
