Ugh. I have to start a new job. My current position was eliminated yesterday (all kinds of crazy reasons, long story, but basically a long series of bad decisions combined with budgetary issues). Thank goodness, I work in a good union, and I'll be going through an involuntary transfer process, and get paid in the meantime, so I'm not out of a job. But I'm really upset about having to leave the people I work with, many of whom are good friends, and who I've worked with for years and years. I'm definitely in a real grieving process right now. Sucks. Stressful. Apprehensive about where I'm going to land, and with who. I hope it doesn't suck. Could be a lot worse obviously - most people would just be out of a job altogether, and that would a complete disaster, so I'm grateful I'm not in that position.
    Well, this SUCKS!

You were at that job for how many years?

HOPE it works out well for you, A.

Thanks Jim! I was there, in various roles, for 24 years!!! I don't even know how I function elsewhere, or if I do. I guess I'll soon find out!

My portable grill came just a moment ago. I briefly set it up in my kitchen on a counter space just to see if I could quickly & easily assemble it. So far I am not disappointed.  :)

Brief, warm but not very detailed recollections of old times with a no longer living relative from many several years ago.

The World Cup… can’t believe it’s almost time. Should be fun and total chaos the way FIFA squeezes every penny out of their matches

You were at that job basically half your life.

As you age, you'll find out you won't like change=LOL. I know I don't like most changes.

    Good LUCK!

I am thinking of attending a car show.

There is an upcoming one in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, WA USA on this upcoming Sunday, June 22st, 2026, for Ford Mustang fans.

It will be at the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. (on the north side of the lock waterway)

Address: 3015 NW 54th Street, Ballard, WA.

Also I created a TT video to spread some awareness about the event.

I expect I will be contacted later today about the possibility of using me as a live juror in an upcoming legal case in King County. I do think the process is interesting. I am not really sure I am a good fit for whatever decisions/personal beliefs/life choices that they are asking about in their servey as it may pertain to anything. Yes, I am fogging what I mean a little by saying what I said here, but its ok. I don't mind doing that. I was told I may hear more about the possibility of my being needed to serve on a jury in King County at some later on time from now.
