I put the Jacob Mizoraski game against the Phillys as the greatest pitcher performance I have witnessed since Kerry Wood struck out 21 Astros in 1998.

He is an absolute freak of nature.

When Wholers threw 103 I thought that was peak and would never be replicated.  This guy throws 105?!?  No way his arm lasts more than a few years.

I am hoping it does though.

    Its all about his mechanics.
Ryan pitched for 22 years, hitting 100mph.

I'll say genetics more so than mechanics.

Yes, Ryan was a freak, and his body (especially his legs) was built.

Miz is a tad bit skinny to last?

And Ryan was a cattle rancher in the off season to boot. He was a different breed.

    Genetics? Sure

They (mechanics) sure were. Add that to how big and strong he was, was a great combo.

If this is accurate then no pitcher should get hurt ever again.

Show the mechanics and fix any problem they might have.

This is why I don't think mechanics is everything. Lincecum had some crazy mechanics but his body couldn't hold up.

This list is "interesting".  Having Niekro that high is mind boggling.

Top 5 for me and what I have seen and read.

    Cy Young
    Maddux
    Spahn
    Randy Johnson
    Seaver

    Next 5

    Clemens
    Walter Johnson
    Pedro
    "Carlton"
    Gibson/Koufax
