I love The White Stripes and love Jack's first couple of solo records. I'm a bit behind on his most recent work. Gonna have to catch up.
May your days be long, til kingdom come.

I wasn’t much of a fan until No Name. That album is brilliant IMO.

I'm in the same boat.  I knew a few white stripes songs, but never game them or his solo work a fair chance.   Heard all the positivity about No Name and spun it, and I instantly connected with it.  I continued to spin the shit out of that record.

It did lead me going backwards through the catalog and finally appreciate the white stripes, other solo work, an his other bands.  So much material!

This was an instant day 1 purchase.

Went to the album listening party in Brisbane and really enjoyed it - some very cool songs with typical outstanding JW riffs an obvious highlight...
Got some cool freebies as well
Fingers crossed I get the call in a couple of days to tell me I won the signed test pressing 🤞

Going to one in less than 6 hours. They should have given the test pressing away while everyone was there to ensure it was on the level.

Yeah - I thought it would be done with raffle tickets as a lucky door prize but we had to put name and phone # on a list.
I guess they will draw it on Friday when the album is officially released??
It is a good store with pretty legit guys so I don't think they are trying to do anything dodgy....
Just means there will be extra names on the list who weren't at the listening party which will lower my chances of winning

Every other store I’ve seen online including mine have theirs out last night. They were selling the new album too so why wait until release day to give away the signed test pressing? Of course, I was 1 of 9 and didn’t win so it didn’t matter for me anyway.

Pretty cool! "Like father, like daughter". 'Cannon' was always one of my favorite White Stripes numbers.

I don't have tickets yet but he's coming to Indy next Tuesday. My only hesitation is that it's a Tuesday.
