This Supreme Flounder, it says first time served in America. Is that true?

Why do Jeff Ament's words always have to hurt so much?
"We're not in any massive rush either.""We've earned the right to do whatever the fuck we want.""I hate working in the summer."Post edited by Zen23 on0 -
What he says usually goes! I’m not sure why he even goes on the road!Zen23 said:Why do Jeff Ament's words always have to hurt so much?

I also wonder just how encouraging the words "I think the big question is, if it's going to work out that this is our future drummer" must be for the new drummer?

To me he comes off like he really doesn’t want to go through with the process of getting another drummer to be a permanent member of the band!Zen23 said:I also wonder just how encouraging the words "I think the big question is, if it's going to work out that this is our future drummer" must be for the new drummer?jesus greets me looks just like me ....0 -
10-15 trial dates sounds good to me. Red Rocks x5, MSG x5, Milan x5

Pearl Jam is enough of a side project at this point that Chad Smith could take the gig.0

I feel like this is a troll from Jeff… like he’s being sarcastic about the new drummer. Jeff seems like a solid dude and nice guy. I don’t think he would publicly hang it out there that they might quickly drop the new drummer. I think it’s more like it’s an established dude who they like and Jeff is breaking his chops a little.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20

Like I’ve been saying all along. Ament confirmed they know the Ohana drummer, that person is not 100% the new permanent drummer yet. He called it a trial and said Need to get out and play 10,15 shows with whoever our drummer is. Spin jumped to a big conclusion and everyone ran with their headline.0

Just very hard to imagine a band like Pearl Jam needing a "trial" run for anything at this point in their career..pmcgrath5 said:Like I’ve been saying all along. What if it doesn't feel right at show 1? Do you just cancel the other 14 shows now because they chose to cancel their trial experience?
Come on now...
He's clearly joking while offering hope the future.0 -
This would be a pretty funny comment by Jeff if Freese was the new drummer considering the Foo saga.on2legs said:I feel like this is a troll from Jeff… like he’s being sarcastic about the new drummer. Makes the theory that either they are testing out Chad or Richard even more believable.I’m a firm believer that Chad is making his exit out of RHCP2005: Ottawa / 2011: Ottawa / 2016: Ottawa / 2022: Ottawa / 2022:Quebec City / 2024: Vancouver N1 & N2 / 2024: NY MSG N10

If it’s Chad Smith, can he just stop wearing his hat like a twelve year old?Boston '06

Never know whether to believe the sound bites from Jeff after his comment about returning back to London/Berlin the following year after the cancellation never came to fruition. Though my instinct is that was the plan and was only stopped due to Matt’s unexpected exit. It’s very exciting news to hear that a tour somewhere is on the horizon though!0
