I wish every card cleaned up like this. I would make BANK! But it's hit or miss.

Big card show this weekend coming.  I thankfully snagged a few Brunson cards before they exploded.  Should be EZ sells.

IF you are in the Westchester area, come to the show.  Big three day event.

I bought five Topps Now Ohtani RC (36J) in 2018...I had totally forgot about them until they turned up at home this past weekend.  They were shipped in a little plastic storage box and have been untouched since I got them 8 years ago.

The population is only 2,004.  They prices have been all over the place on Ebay.

Would you sell them now or get them graded and keep for the long term?

Which ones are they?  He had a bunch of them that year.

TBH I would grade and hold.  2004 is not a lot in todays cards and for his popularity.

Will they be $1000 cards? I don't think so.  Are they a few hundred dollar cards in psa10?  Yes.

It's up to you on what you want to do with them.  I always take the money now.

If you graded them now with PSA you would not see them for almost a year.  Sent in to BGS and hope for 10's if you want to sell now.

Lastly any pitching card of him seems to be on the rise because of his dominance right now.

Hospital near me is going to take a bunch of my base cards for the kids. Also goodwill will take some. I have a handful of full sets I have put together that I will give away.

I'm just glad I had a few "case hits" I was able to flip. Or else I would have learned an expensive lesson when buying packs and boxes.
    But I'm a gambler.

I purchased a Topps hobby hoops basketball box. Delivered last week.

The absolute biggest garbage product known to mankind. ZERO return on my purchase just complete junk.

At least with the baseball I was always hitting something.

Hoops has always been a lower end product.  I have also heard some pretty bad things about it.

I bought one box of Topps Bball this year.  Hit a silverpack Flagg and Golden Mirror Curry.  Sold them both immediately, it paid for the box and some and I kept the rest.

Have zero desire to rip another.

Topps Chrome Bball was sooo over priced I didn't even entertain joining a break.

PSA 10's go for $400. Cost of grading is like $30 a card with a minimum of 50 and a turnaround time of 11 months.

You could sell raw for like $100 a card too if you wanted.

These were my pick ups from the show this weekend.  A shadowless Charizard, Steph rc, Trout Game used auto, Witt game used, Andre the Giant game card and a LBJ jersey.

I had never even heard of those Andre cards before so I had to snag it for the PC.

Great show.  People buying up all my "junk slabs"  People paying $10 for my and others' grading mistakes.  Like a Wander Franco PSA 8 for $10, lol.  They were buying ALL OF THEM!

First hour of the show I had two dealers practically wipe me out of my higher end cards. I have only a few 100+ cards left.  My PSA sub is only in QC right now and I really could have used that for this show.  At least I'll have some stuff for the next one.

So that Curry rc.  I bought that off of a fellow dealer that I'm friendly with. I've known him for a few years now.  We agreed to a price, didn't open our phones to "check comps".  I took the price he offered and was happy to have the card.

I walk away off to another table to do some PC shopping and one of the guys comes back and says to me "We gave you the wrong price of the card"

I'm sure it was more than what he charged me so I was prepared to fork over some more.

"We overcharged you, sorry. We thought it was the other version." and he handed me money back.

I went back to his booth and thanked him for being a stand up person.

This is why I like to deal with certain people at the shows.  They take care of me and I will take care of them.
