    It’s all supervised!
Still, you can’t have people just sticking their hands in an oven.
It’s a pizza the minute you stick your hands in the dough!

He was definitely talking about pj. The guy asked Dave who the new drummer was and Dave said he didn’t know.

If that’s correct, the band for the open headline spot on Sunday should be "bigger" than Foo Fighters (in the mind of the Festival‘s boss Medina)

    promising stuff or AI crap😉😆

    btw
    September 5
    headliner on the World Stage:
    Avenged Sevenfold
Wasn‘t Macca heavily rumored for South America in the fall? Could be him.
    More Medina + Rock World

end of joking this week? would mean
    PALCO MUNDO
    P E A R L  J A M
shows up on top of Sunday’s line-up.

+ just to remember a detail from the new drummer on board thread:
PJ needs an official current band shot to enter the Rock in Rio line-up online, unless the festival’s boss offers a major exception…
    speculation crunch time!

Actually, they don’t even need an official current band shot. In 2023, The Town, Rock in Rio’s sister festival, announced Foo Fighters as a headliner in January, when they still didn’t have a drummer. They posted this at the time:

So it wouldn’t be the first time.. Or they could also just use a picture of the four of them

    Thanks for this historic detail.
With it + PJ not announcing the drummer before Rio / yesterday
the upcoming Rio announcement would be / is wide open.

IF they play the festival I tend to: no current PJ band shot shows up on the festival‘s homepage this week.
Wouldn’t bet on a photo with only four band members. And drummer on the photo but somehow not to identify would be similar strange to me.

A current band shot would mean the Festival announces the band & the new PJ drummer.
A sensation that would surprise me.
Just Stickman in his role as Alive guy to keep the drummer-silence would be fitting and cool.
    ?
    1. Rio announces Pearl Jam
    2. Pearl Jam announces the drummer (with or without band shot)
    3. Rio’s homepage shows band shot

edit:  the dates for 2. and 3. are impossible to estimate with this scenario

That would be such a vibe. He's good. He's also a surfer guy like Ed.

Email from Tsurt, for those going to Ohana on Friday this year

“I can't believe it has been 10 years since the first Ohana Festival in my hometown of Dana Point, California. I love our city and hope you do too.

We started working on the Eddie Vedder and Friends merch a few weeks back, and it has been fun to explore ways to include "the friends" in the merch and to think of new and different items.

As someone who knows a little bit about what is happening at this show, I would highly suggest not missing out on Ed's Friday set. I really think it will be a special one.

Thanks to everyone who has been showing up all of these years. It has been a dream come true having some of the best acts in the world play in my backyard.

    See you at the beach.”

I saw that too and it has planted a seed of doubt if my Sunday only plan is the right call!
It is. I need some room close to the front 🤭

I’m not your problem if that’s the case.  I’ll go no earlier than 5pm on Friday or 3pm on Sunday. Middle of lawn situation.

This might be the right call. I'm not sure I'm cut out for waiting for hours.

It’s not just the waiting. It’s the sitting in the sun all day and carefully calculate when to go pee or how much water to drink.

The doors are on a diagonal. It's architecturally incorrect.
