admittedly I’m a VGK fan….I know there’s a lot of hate towards them but I don’t really understand it. Mad they went to the SCF in their first year? Hey, as my co-worker used to say, “I don’t make the rules, I just go by them.” Jealous of their sustained excellence? Perceived salary cap manipulation? Every team does it. Dirty players? Outside of Ryan Reaves, I don’t think VGK has been known for that. Hatred of the city? Yeah, it’s weird but if you get away from the casinos it’s basically Phoenix…kind of a fucked up city but aren’t most? I’m not aware of any coach or player they’ve ever had who is a big time asshole. I can think of a fair number around the league. Are the fans shitty? I don’t know. I think it boils down to envy.

BTW, they’ve been great in the community. They were a bit of a healing force after the horrific Mandalay Bay mass shooting.

Their goalie is a scum bag at best and a rapist at worst.  Whether you believe it was rape or not at the very least he acted like a scum bag.  And I was a fan of Hart’s when he was a Flyer.  But yea can’t cheer or hope he wins.  

Damn…that Montreal post to Carolina goal was unfortunate.

I always root for Canada if Tampa gets eliminated.  I still can't get over how thoroughly the Lightning outplayed Montreal in game 7 (they had 9 total shots) yet the Habs win on two fluke goals.  They are gritty, just like their coach.

The Habs have that problem to start, and a stifling D like Carolina makes it even tougher.
