I don’t think it’s PJ on Friday. It’s Ed celebrating 10 years of Ohana with a few surprise guests and maybe a semi acoustic set. What a wonderful way to start the festival!
I agree..I think he is just leaving it open that anyone could show up as a guest
I wonder if Ben Harper is going to be there Friday. His son, Ellery Harper is playing on Saturday.

If that’s correct, the band for the open headline spot on Sunday should be "bigger" than Foo Fighters (in the mind of the Festival‘s boss Medina)

    promising stuff or AI crap😉😆

    headliner on the World Stage:
    Avenged Sevenfold
Wasn‘t Macca heavily rumored for South America in the fall? Could be him.

    More Medina + Rock World

end of joking this week? would mean
    PALCO MUNDO
    P E A R L  J A M
shows up on top of Sunday’s line-up.

+ just to remember a detail from the new drummer on board thread:
PJ needs an official current band shot to enter the Rock in Rio line-up online, unless the festival’s boss offers a major exception…
    speculation crunch time!

can't believe it's been a year since the pitt shows!
Exactly a year since the Grievance incident.
Not the most memorable moment of the show for many....
What is your problem with Shaindli1? You're constantly responding to their posts in rude and condescending ways.  It's really strange lol

Actually, they don’t even need an official current band shot. In 2023, The Town, Rock in Rio’s sister festival, announced Foo Fighters as a headliner in January, when they still didn’t have a drummer. They posted this at the time:

So it wouldn’t be the first time.. Or they could also just use a picture of the four of them

Does anyone have any intel that there are shows before or after Ohana that can drop a hint so we have more to look forward to?

Email from Tsurt, for those going to Ohana on Friday this year

“I can't believe it has been 10 years since the first Ohana Festival in my hometown of Dana Point, California. I love our city and hope you do too.

We started working on the Eddie Vedder and Friends merch a few weeks back, and it has been fun to explore ways to include "the friends" in the merch and to think of new and different items.

As someone who knows a little bit about what is happening at this show, I would highly suggest not missing out on Ed's Friday set. I really think it will be a special one.

Thanks to everyone who has been showing up all of these years. It has been a dream come true having some of the best acts in the world play in my backyard.

    See you at the beach.”

If they have a permanent drummer in place it would seem odd if Ohana is the only date around that timeframe.   If they don’t have a permanent drummer then I could see Ohana being a one off with a fill in.

I think that Ed's network has really grown stronger in So Cal with him teaming up with Andrew Watt.    Lots of friends that could show up.

If Andrew’s friends like Iggy Pop, Post Malone, Gaga, and Miley stop by I’d be thrilled!

Pitt 1 was the hardest PJ ticket I've ever tried for. Glad we got in, glad we made the trip. Great weekend, historic shows.
It was freaking brutal trying to find tickets for those shows. Especially N1 we didn’t even have tickets as we left Raleigh for a couple nights in West Virginia on the way to the Burgh.
