I was listening to PJ Radio on XM after the Ohana announcement, whoever the host is now (where's Bleetstein, by the way?) was picking some old Ohana tunes and was crowing about RITFW and how it was such a great song and she hoped they played it at this year's Ohana.  All I could do was roll my eyes.

RITFW is a great way to end or almost end a show. Lights up, great energy from the crowd. Baba too. Gives me the old time feeling.

Setting Sun would he a way better closer at Ohana.  Heck, I’d even risk being stuck in traffic.

The nerve of someone having a differing opinion!

Her implication, I think, was that it was a rarity or unusual to hear at Ohana, like the 2021 version she played was the last time it was played.

What does it take to get in the front 20 rows or so for EV and PJ at Ohana? Does it mean being at the front gate before 12:00, and then heading straight to the stage and claiming your spot and staying there until 8:00 p.m.? I see that towels aren't allowed after 4, so are you then standing from 4-10?
My son and I were about 2 rows from
the stage for EV Ohana ‘25.. i didn’t leave my spot from Noon until after EV’s set…

How early did you have to get in line outside the festival to get 2 rows back at EV?

not to be "that guy" but can someone remind me when parking passes tend to go on sale?
Late in the summer, and they will probably go fast.
Have not been in a few years, but wasn't there bike parking outside the festival?  Thinking of renting e-bikes and just cruising back and forth to our VRBO pre and post show.
(We're up the bluff across the Coast Hwy, so thinking e-bikes for the ride back uphill post shows. 😁🍻)
Are you coming from Utah (because of your username)? I am.

When the first note of RITFW is played, it’s time to get out of Dodge!
    Yep... that's what I do.
A song I'm really tired of hearing... no loss to me...
I couldn't imagine how any of you got sick of hearing all these classics. And then I started working my way through the 2000 bootlegs. I'm on number 34 now, and I'm starting to get it now 🤭🤭🤭

I might need to abstain from bootlegs for a couple months before the show!

So from what you all have said, if you want to get row 1-2 for PJ, arrive at 6 am, wait 6 hours in line (on asphalt?) until doors open at noon, run straight to the stage and stay there until 8 pm. You will either be standing or sitting in a small space, especially after 4 pm. Make friends with those around you so you can take bathroom breaks without losing your spot.

Can someone walk me through what this looks like if you want to get Row 1-2 for Eddie Vedder on Friday?

Classics? RITFW? It's not even PJ song... you're a newby, you can enjoy it all with eyes wide. I've been listening since 1990 and some songs are just overplayed. And I include Jeremy as my bathroom break song at shows

There is.  This is what I've been doing the last 4 years.  It's a fun ride back afterwards.

Look I get it some of you were going to too many shows and are burned out. I was there. Planning bathroom breaks, leaving early. Overly focused on what you can skip. Scale it back, go see other bands, keep it fresh.

These shows aren't cheap any more. One or two max is perfect. It ain't 2003.
