watched Wuthering Heights yesterday w/Margo, it wasn’t bad. Not sure about people complaining about “steamy sex scenes” I’ve seen worst, bunch of prudes people can be. I still liked the one with Tom Hardy better.

A Private Life its on my list, worth it??
Thought I watched a TV movie of the week in theater. I was hooked good enough by the character at first but it went down. What’s going on / happened interests the character in her life but I lost interest in the character/s and the scenario. That’s a rare combination. There isn’t much Paris in the movie, it could be set elsewhere. There is acting but it didn’t save the movie. Can recommend it only to a certain type of Judie Foster fans > individuals who know they will be happy enough with it, if the personal entertainment value of the whole thing is below average.
Not to every fan, because that value is extreme unforseenable here, below 5/10 is easily possible. No idea how good or bad it could work for you.
To me it wasn’t worth the ticket price and that’s extreme rare. No need to watch it on a big screen, it can be even the same movie on mobile phone screen. Anyway, waste of time warning;)

I read the book XX years ago and still have it. The movie was a must-see since then. All in all the ending was the best thing on the movie’s positive side. The book is clearly my first choice.

Not a big fan too. I was attracted by "murder mystery" + Judie Foster at first. And I knew it was filmed in French and about its entry on the French shortlist for the foreign language Oscar. But there was no screening to watch the original language version with subtitles. No way that this attraction would have saved the movie good enough to me but if you can select the language + subtitles, French seems the best option to watch the thing.
