    btw next week in theaters… 

    Not expecting an instant classic but wait and see… at least a mummy hit movie seems possible. To me that would be exciting enough for this thread.

    I’ll see this. Director’s Evil Dead remake was pretty brutal. Didn’t like it as much as the recent Evil Dead Rise, though. None of which have the humor/fun of the originals.

    Just to write The Mummy (2026) out of this thread. It’s not a new favourite horror film. And it’s not my new favourite with a mummy. What the title suggests and what’s going on in the film are different things.
