    My top 5 of 2024:

    Strange Darling
    Longlegs
    Late Night with the Devil
    I Saw the TV Glow
    Trap
I Saw the TV Glow was fantastic. Really liked that movie. It was special.

Good stuff on your top 5! Strange Darling and Longlegs are great. Love the late night tv show aesthetic for Devil. Set and costuming did a great job. Lead actor was good too. Trap was fun.
So, i have to add I Saw TV Glow in my list??

Yes, I think so. It is a different kind of “horror” movie and the subtext can be read a couple of different ways, but I found it to be quite good.

Recently went back and watched all of the Friday the 13th films in order. The first one was pretty bad. Kind of surprised that that film launched the whole franchise.

Also, I hadn't realized that Jason didn't actually get his signature hockey mask until the third film. WTF?

Probably going to go through the Nightmare on Elm Street series next.

Without knowing who the killer is. I think the first one is a nice little ”whosdunnit”-type film

Anyone see any of the Terrifier movies?

Super late to the party on this question, but i think Terrifier 3 was WAY better than the others. Way way way. Still wasn't great, but what an improvement.

    Do not watch the trailer.
Do not read or listen to other people’s detailed opinion to avoid stupid spoilers.
Avoid to see any other poster art - stupid spoilers.
Do not read the back cover of the DVD or blu-ray release.

I’m not really into horror, esp after The Exorcist made me sleep with my lights on into my late 20s. But if you haven’t seen George Sluizer‘s The Vanishing (1988), i highly recommend.
