Ya know, I’m a little disappointed that the newsletter didn’t include a link to the Seinfeld thread in the forum topics

I’m a little disappointed too. I didn't get my transfer to Hawaii. The most sought-after postal route of them all. The air is so dewy-sweet you don't even have to lick the stamps…

You like to gamble, Mr Kramer?

Your views on race relations are fascinating. You should really do an op-ed piece for The Times.

Last night Paul McCartney did a private corporate show for Apple.
I'm side-eyeing him because there's nothing ethical about Apple's business practices and yet he flaunted this on his social media, photo with Tim Cook included.
Say what you will about Ed's private shows, he's not flaunting it and I also don't think he'd play for Tim Cook. Also he gives a lot of that money to EB.
I mean the whole band played for Oracle
As a long time Vegas resident, all of your favourite bands are taking big money to play to a bunch of sales douchenozzles from Super Mega Tech during the annual Awesome Techathon Conference where they disrupt the industry.

After seeing Bruce 95 times... Last week in LA is my last ever. $435 for a pit ticket abd that was WITHOUT TM FEES because we got from tour manager. Will seriously rethink my concert choices

I'm nearly tapped out on PJ prices.  2024-2025 was around $185 I think?  If they start to push it to the $250 range I'll likely hang it up and call it a career. Can't justify it when I paid $65 and $75 for My Morning Jacket and Wilco in the past year.  Bands that I love and whose live shows are just as good as PJ.

It's a bummer but it's the reality that we are in ATM.

I agree with this.  $185 is insane to begin with, at $250 a ticket the days of multiple shows in a tour might be over for me.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

I'm getting to the same place.   Do I really need to pay $400 to $500 to see a band for the 5th, 6th, 7th time kind of thing.   I'll go to PJ when they play my area, and as much as people complain, their tickets are still on the lower end many of the veteran stadium/arena acts.

This years is kind of light for concerts.  I'm mostly done my post covid spin of the big ones still touring that I wanted to do another lap of.  I'd like to see Metallica again before they pack it in.  PJ plays Vancouver I'm always there.  I've still got Radiohead and Poison on my never got to see them list, so I might figure those out.

It does feel like I'm waning a bit.  It's not that I can't afford the tickets, but at these prices, plus travel, time off work to go, and hotel prices.. I'm like.. all inclusive for a week in Mexico instead?

$250 is gonna be about my limit. PJ tix were already coming to about $210 on F2F last year. If they get above $250, I'm gonna limit to one local show per year. And even then, I'd only spend that for certain bands like PJ, DMB, Radiohead.

Yeah would love to catch Metallica one more time but their prices this year were insane, and the fact they were sold in two day packages in London only, meaning a commitment to a weekday show was included with a day between the shows made it a no go for me.

Pj remain the only band out there that I would pay what they ask. One day they are going to call it a day and I really want to have zero regrets. Ive seen acts that are expensive that are not in the same bracket and I figure seeing PJ has always guaranteed me insane entertainment, and some of the best nights of music I have ever seen.

Therefore whatever it costs I am going. As we all get older it becomes more concerning that the next time might be the last time and i just want it to be there forever.

Yeah, I considered grabbing a last-minute ticket for Bruce Springsteen (he played here on Monday night), but even the cheapest seats were over $300 a piece for crappy nosebleeds or behind the stage. I didn't go because the car needs repairs and I couldn't justify that cost since I've seen him multiple times before. Hopefully I will have another chance.

The reality of PJ touring at this point is that ticket and flight costs are much higher and there are more rest days built into the schedule, which translates to additional vacation days and much more $$$ for flights and hotels if you're traveling. I know they aren't getting younger and the costs of touring have risen considerably vs what they were 20 years ago. It doesn't mean that I'll never do a tour again, but it does impact the number of shows that I can realistically do. It is what it is. I feel like we are on borrowed time at this point, so I will do what I can when I can.
