    It's a pretty simple issue to solve that has a scientific way to show why it's an issue.  If we weren't so dumb and have to fight about every goddamn thing, we could fix this "issue" and move on pretty damn fast.

    No one is doing that.  

    Several things can be true here. Sexual assault is bad and that this is not as straightforward as you (and the "sources" you are providing) are portraying it as.

    I do think the cause of Trumper brain smoothing is that they take issue with the world being complex and in order to deal with life and the world being complex, they can only process things as binary, zero sum, and reductive to make things as simple as possible in order to just function.
