I wish we knew more about this other person of interest, but since the authorities aren't saying much, then maybe Clint (the guy Brian was with that night) was right in the fact he doesn't know anything but if he doesn't...it's strange for him to get the lawyer.

True Crime Garage interviewed the lead detective a while ago. Lost In Ohio said:

In the interview with the lead detective, it was said there were rumors that Brian and Clint may have had sexual encounters. I never suspected Clint, but it was curious he lawyered up and wouldn't take a polygraph. This would explain that, if he didn't want it to come out.

Getting a lawyer and refusing a poly are smart things to do even if you are innocent.
