Gonna work on getting this crease out of Rookie Walter, once I get some practice.
You got that one easy.  That's not even a soak.  Thats a press and youll be good.

I've watched enough of his videos to know what he does, lol.

I learned to wipe out scratches on chrome cards from him.  Some car wax and a microfiber cloth.  I've made some miracles happen.
So you think a few sprays on the pad, let the card sit on the mats and and round disc's for a day?

    Take me piece by piece.....
Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....

Or apply a small amount directly on crease? Or both spray on both crease and black pads?
Yeah, I've watched about 100 of his videos the last 3 days. Also I was smart enough to go to Michael's, Walmart and CVS to get mats, shammies, isopropyl, distilled water q-tips. Picked up the acrylic rounds and clamps on ebay. Total cost $30?

Kurts great. He seems to be one of the nicest guys I would like to meet. He's a magician and really is fantastic in the teaching process.

But I decided to save $100 and buy my own supplies. Hahaha

Kurt charges $50 for his spray?

Water sprayer? $1 at dollar store
    Isopropyl? $3.95
    Distilled water? $2.29
3 to 1 ratio on water to alcohol.

But I have NO PROBLEM with Kurt getting $50. I hope the guy makes $500k a year.

Yeah, he applies proven methods to comics and most likely stamps.

Baseball cards are the most uppity of people ever.  The people that complain about what Kurt does to cards has ZERO idea on conservation.

As for the card I would practice one w spray on the mats.  He only does a soak or spray on the card itself it its a stubborn one.  This one should be a spray on the mat then clamp it.

I don't mind him making money either but no way im spending that much if i can buy my own things.

The stuff he uses for his corners should be able to be bought too.  Just havent got that far into it yet.

I have a Frank Thomas card and a Lemeiux, both rcs, that can be worth quite a bit if I can releive the indents on them.

If I get around to fianlly doing it I will let u know.  I have some Pokemon that could use some prep also.

I have a ball signed by Hank Aaron, Sadaharu Oh & Al Downing.

I bought it from Steiner Sports over 30 years ago (without the Oh signature).

Is Beckett the best place to have it authenticated and sealed?  I prefer that over getting a COA, even if it's from a reputable grader

Beckett or JSA.  Both are good, JSA a little better.

    Yep
    Nice job!
If I get a psa 4? Fine and dandy.
    But maybe a 5? I would like a 5, obviously.
But I'll definitely send it in. See what happens.

I think I found my retirement hobby. Restoring these cards is fucking fun. I absolutely love the challenge. And I have only been at it a week. Haha

Let me see a better pic of the sig.  I thought it was Alvin Davis but the last name is wrong.

Looks like an 88 below it.  Cant tell if thats a HOF inscription or just a year.

got it in 2016. Met Ed in 2018 and forgot to ask him!he must not of cared that much about it to "throw" it away. Maybe if I asked him he would have wanted it back...
     Epic moment in my life.

Don't mean to derail thread. Enjoy seeing what people do with cards. I have none.
