90%? Generous.... everyone slows down (except Jagger) and to charge these prices for "old" Bruce is pathetic. I'll still fondly remember the Reunion Tour, Magic Tour, and the 3 tours in Australia in 13, 14, 17 amongst his finestZod said:gotthebottle said:
He used to be better than he is now... but he's 76 and won't be around forever...GlowGirl said:I was over 62,000 in the queue for Bruce for MSG. Now there are mainly jacked up resale tickets left. I will wait until closer to the show. I’m not the biggest fan but heard he is great live. So, I thought I would give it a try.True, but the show I saw in Vancouver 2024 was still off the charts amazing (and over 3 hours long). Sure, maybe he's operating at 90%, but Bruce as 90% is 300% better than most bands
His shows continue to be incredibly amazing, I'd go again in a heartbeat if there was a Vancouver show.

Bruce is literally a national treasure. Knocking him because his shows at 76 aren’t what they were when he was 26 feels like being negative for the sake of being negative. Literally no one here said he is performing like it’s 1978.1996: Randall's Island 2 1998: East Rutherford | MSG 1 & 2 2000: Cincinnati | Columbus | Jones Beach 1, 2, & 3 | Boston 1 | Camden 1 & 2 2003: Philadelphia | Uniondale | MSG 1 & 2 | Holmdel 2005: Atlantic City 1 2006: Camden 1 | East Rutherford 1 & 2 2008: Camden 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 (#25) | Newark (EV) 2009: Philadelphia 1, 2 & 4 2010: Newark | MSG 1 & 2 2011: Toronto 1 2013: Wrigley Field | Brooklyn 2 | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2015: Central Park 2016: Philadelphia 1 & 2 | MSG 1 & 2 | Fenway Park 2 | MSG (TOTD) 2017: Brooklyn (RnR HOF) 2020: MSG | Asbury Park 2021: Asbury Park 2022: MSG | Camden | Nashville 2024: MSG 1 & 2 (#50) | Philadelphia 1 & 2 | Baltimore 2025: Raleigh 20

Yea... I'd say When Ed's Japan tour ends and we hear nothing I'm throwing in the towel for this year. That said, I think we'll get a drummer announcement this year.tylermoore said:

I think so too (new drummer announced).. hope so, at least... for now, since the my Washington Nationals are bound to be miserable and guaranteed last in the NL East.. with possibly the worst record in their 21 year history.. I will be spending happy time at Nats Park in 2026 going to see concerts.. of others.. anything tour of a band I like is better than no tour.. and I truly love QOTSA.. hope they will also play on their own locally (doubtful) and I am happy to go back to Texas to see a show.. but still hoping.. maybe a PJ announcement in the fall.. even if for '27.. until then.. the magic of live music will be filled by others..JG242853 said:Yea... There's a direct correlation between how much a ticket costs and how much someone will scrutinize the performance. For example, if Pearl Jam tickets creep up over $250 I've got some thinking to do.on2legs said:Bruce is literally a national treasure. Bruce has been at the top end of ticket prices for at least the last 30 years. I remember comparing my $18 PJ tickets to what I was paying to see Bruce at the same time. He’s got a way bigger machine to support and he knows what he’s worth. He’s been blatantly unapologetic about his ticket prices over the years. I’ve paid up for Bruce every time I’ve seen him and it’s always been worth it. He’s not the same guy he used to be but he’s still one of the few performers I will pay up to see.pjl44 said:

That's all fair for your calculus. If someone else says "the price relative to performance has finally tipped into the red" I think that’s also fair and not "negative for the sake of being negative."on2legs said:

Agreed. Everyone has to do what’s best for their own wallet.pjl44 said:

I find there's a bit of balance in the whole thing. I'm not entirely great at embracing new music, which means unfortunately the bands I want to see continue to diminish. I pay more for tickets, but go to less shows. I'm not sure if the cost of a ticket impacts it a whole lot. I have to travel off an island for most shows, so non-weekend shows eating up 2 vacation days has more of an impact.I try to remember that when I'm retired most of the bands I want to see will also be retired as they are older than me. I'll probably be old wishing I could go back in time to a show, so I try to travel to 2 or 3 shows a year, and catch some smaller local ones. This year I've only got tickets to go off Island for Rush (Who I've never seen). A bit of a quiet year.0

I'm trying to not buy too many concert tickets, keeping hope alive for PJ.
So far my plans for 2026 entail Bruce in May, Billy in July, and Ohana in September.
If PJ announces live shows I'll recalibrate.#Grievance20250 -
Only concerts for me are Orbit Culture, Florence and the machine, and DMB. Thinking PJ in 2027.0

Gorillaz is on my bucketlist since Clint Eastwood is basically my 10-15yo anthem.HailHailVitalogy said:As of now I’m planing on:

Saw Turnstile twice last year. It was amazing at a Hardcore/punk festival, a few weeks later i went to a headline show in Germany. It was a bit off as they devided the floor with a barrier, What didn’t help was the fact that they runned out of lockers that left 25% of GA with a winterjacket on. Great story for a birthday-party is all there’s left.0 -
it seems like ohana would be a natural place to debut a new drummer0

Lots of shows on the docket already for this year so won't be too upset if PJ doesn't put together a small tour. But based on Bruce it seems like it's possible to throw one together fairly quickly so still have some hope. Then again he does nothing for his fans as far as ticketing so he doesn't have to deal with that headache.
